Nigeria Rises to 64th in New FIFA Ranking List, 14th in Africa

According to the new FIFA /Coca-Cola rankings published on the Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) website today, the Nigerian national team, the Super Eagles, have risen to the 64th position.
In the ranking table on FIFA’s website, the Super Eagles garnered 534 points as against 513 it had in August when it was placed at the 67th position.

UEFA League: Arsenal 0-2 Barcelona | Messi guns down Arsenal, Juve hold Bayern

Lionel Messi scored twice as holders Barcelona beat Arsenal 2-0 in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie at Emirates Stadium.
Despite some resolute Arsenal defending, the Barcelona captain proved to be the difference for the La Liga leaders as he scored his first goal past Petr Cech to break the deadlock in the 71st minute.
He doubled his side’s advantage from the spot 13 minutes later after being brought down by substitute Mathieu Flamini in what was his first real involvement in the game.

JJ OKocha emerges Delta State Football Association Chairman

Former Super Eagles captain, Austin JJ Okocha, has emerged as the new Delta State Football Association Chairman. Okocha won today’s polls with 26 votes while his co-contestant, Evans Agbo, only got a vote.
Okocha has been the vice-chairman before now. Congrats!!!
