A WALK for Titi Arowolo to hold on September 7


The public awareness against DOMESTIC VIOLENCE (DV) is scheduled for Wednesday, September 7.

It is a walk to remember the late Titilayo Arowolo who was allegedly killed by her husband, Kola Arowolo and also to all victims of domestic violence. “While the case is in court and justice runs its course, we want to remember Titi and all victims of domestic violence,” said Josephine Effah-Chukwuma, CEO, Project Alert On Violence against Women.

A network of Non Governmental Organizations (NGO), State and federal organizations who provide services to abused and young girls will hold the domestic violence awareness walk, using Titi as the most recent face of domestic violence.

The walk would start at 9am and is billed to hold simultaneously on the Island and Mainland. The Island walk takes off from Falomo roundabout through Awolowo Way down to City Mall while the Mainland walk takes off from Maryland through Mobolaji Bank Anthony to Archibishop Vining Memorial CathedralChurch Parking Ground, GRA.

However, at the end of the rally, some notable Nigerians and professionals would give five minutes talks on the issue of domestic violence.
