The NGO would be declared open by her Excellency, Abimbola Fashola, wife of the Lagos State Governor.
Women and Modesty Global Initiative was borne out of the need to conserve female folks and preserve the most cherished African Culture. The NGO advocates decent and enviable lifestyle among African women. It focuses on the celebration of the virtuous woman and emphasises on dress- sense, conduct, carriage, civility, decorum, courtesy and the role of motherhood in the life of an African child.
By extension, the NGO caters for the wellbeing of an African woman/child by fighting against domestic violence, female mutilation and other vices that could impede the happiness of the African woman. Women constitute the building blocks for family values and catalyst for the progress of any society, thus, their rights should not be abused.
