Tony Elumelu’s mother kidnapped


Gunmen yesterday, April 23, kidnapped the mother of the former Group Managing Director of UBA Plc, Mr. Tony Elumelu, from her farm in Onicha-Ukwu, Delta State at about 3:00 pm. She was taken to an unknown destination.
The spokesman for the Delta State Police Command, Mr. Charles Muka, confirmed the incident.
Elumelu is the chairman of Heirs Holdings, an African proprietary investment firm and founder of The Tony Elumelu Foundation, an Africa-based and Africanfunded not-for-profit organisation that is dedicated to the promotion and celebration of excellence in business leadership and entrepreneurship across Africa.
One of his siblings is Ndudi Elumelu, a serving member of the House of Representatives.
