Fuel Subsidy removal: NLC says strike continues on Monday

 Just when Nigerians all around the globe were waiting to hear good news from the outcome of the meeting between government and labour on the removal of fuel subsidy so that things will get back to normal, the meeting ended abruptly as both parties failed to reach a compromise on Saturday evening.


Nigeria Labour Congress president, Abdulwaheed Omar told journalists outside the presidential villa, "We have not reached a compromise."  He further says the compromise is “Let’s go back to N65.”
Omar said if the two parties have not reached a compromise, it means the status quo is maintained but added quickly that PENGASSAN will not be joining the Nationwide Strike which will continue on Monday.

But the truth is that, must we continue to suffer this way?  At this point, I think we need God’s divine intervention.
