Abuja based Christian wins Glo Naija Sings Season 3

Abuja based Christian Doherty  was finally announced winner of the 2011 Glo Naija Sings season 3 edition.
This came after weeks of thrilling performances and elimination of seven contestants out of the selected 10. Dare Art Alade announced Christian winner this evening, Sunday, November 13, 2011 at the grand finale of the competition.

The event was spiced up with lots of fun and excitement as there were performances by guest artiste like Onyeka Onwenu who performed with the evicted contestants and final three, Omawunmi Mgbele, Casey, season 2 winner and host, Darey Art Alade .
The three finalists Mattade, Vickky and Christian paired up with Mo’Cheddah, Jaywon and David O respectively in duet performances which thrilled the audience.
Christian walked away with the grand cash prize of $100,000 (One hundred thousand dollars) and is also the proud owner of a brand new  Rav 4 SUV. The prize was presented by M-Net Africa Managing Director, Biola Alabi and the Head of Sales for the show’s sponsors, Glo. His original song would also enjoy massive air play on two radio stations tomorrow.
Christian Doherty was the oldest among the Top 10 contestants and is a jack-of-many-trade. The 35-year-old, Abuja-based comedian, musician and businessman loves R&B and hip-hop fusion. He also plays football and does Taekwondo. The “right person for the throne” as he describes himself,  said he was looking forward to improving on his audibility and blowing Africa away.
