Sultry and sexy actresses Genevieve Nnaji, Omotola Jalade Ekeinde, Funke Akindele and newly married Mercy Johnson have all been nominated for the Favourite West African Actress category in the UK Oscars alongside their Ghanaian ‘sister’ Jackie Appiah.
The nomination was announced for Screen Nation Awards 2011 tagged ‘Uk Oscars’ and names were revealed at an exclusive nominations party, held at Revolution Bar in London.
For the first time African films and actors are receiving nominations from the highly coveted awards which means African films have started gaining good recognition worldwide.
Below are the nominees for the Favourite West African Actress category.

Omotola Jalade
We learnt that the award would take place on Sunday October 16, 2011 at the indigO2 and it would be hosted by Angellica Bell and Michael Underwood.
