New York City to name a street after Oscar de la Renta

Mayor Bill de Blasio announced at the
home of Made Fashion Week in Manhattan on Tuesday, February 9, that New York
City will be honouring late designer, Oscar de la Renta with a street in his
name.
The mayor said the designer was a
"giant of the industry" and that "no one is more deserving than
him of that."
