Our
Man Crush Monday (MCM) is young, lively and talented, Filipino actor and
recording artist, Daniel John Ford Padilla, who has steadily climbed the ladder
of fame through hard work and determination which has earned him several
awards.
Popularly
known as Daniella Padilla, has been tagged as Philippine showbiz’s “Teen King”
and “King of Hearts” made his television debut with a supporting role in the
soap opera “Gimik 2010” before landing the lead role in “Growing Up” in 2011.
The
23-year-old young actor has starred in the most watch Filipino television
programmes of the year including Princess and I (2012-2013), Got to Believe
(2013-2014) and Pangako Sa ‘Yo (The Promise) (2015-2016).
He
made his feature film debut as supporting cast in 2012 before he starred in the
top 10 highest-grossing Filipino films of the year including She’s Dating the
Gangster (2014), Crazy Beautiful You (2015), Barcelona: A Love Untold (2016)
and Can’t Help Falling in Love.
Padilla
has released three double platinum albums in Philippines including, self-titled
mini album Daniel Padilla (2012), DJP (2013), I Heart You (2014), gold record
album, I Feel Good (2015), and compilation album DJ’ Greatest Hits (2016).
He
also held headlining concerts including Daniel Live! (2013) DOS (2014), Most
Wanted (2015) and concert DJ Classics: Back at the Araneta (2017).
Padilla
has won several awards in television, film and music which include FAMAS Award
for Best Actor, PMPC Star Award for Movie Actor of the Year, GMMSF Box-Office Entertainment
Awards for Box Office King, and Awit Awards.
His
hit song “Simpleng Tulad Mo” has won Myx Music Awards for Favorite Song. In his
career, he has received three World Music Awards nominations in 2013, and
become the first Pinoy artist to win Kids’ Choice Awards for Global Slime Star.
Padillia who hates
waking up early, fixes his hair himself. And he likes hairstyles that are
comfortable and relaxes his feelings. He dislikes wearing V-neck shirts instead
he opts for round-neck plain white t-shirts. The young actor loves the colours
black, white and grey. And if there is one fashion item he cannot leave the
house without, it is his wristwatch in his right hand.
The young ‘The Promise’
star is currently dating his co-star, Karthryn Bernado. They both just featured
in a new movie titled, ‘The Hows of Us’, a Filipino romance drama.
Handsome Padillia owned
a car at the age of 17 before his 18th birthday, a gift from his
father.
