Payal gets ready the morning after taking bath and calls Bharath motors. A man is riding bike with is friend, he stop and picks Payal's call. Payal tells him she needs SUV. He asks so what. She asks if he talks to her client so arrogantly and says she needs vehicle on loan and asks how much down payment she has to make. He asks who is she. She says it is none of his business and asks him to check with his senior and call her back. Dev’s friend asks who was she. He says he don’t know but she has a sweet voice. His friend then asks why was he speaking to her so long.
Dev reaches his coaching institute for an exam. Payal call him again and asks if he spoke to his senior. The examiner sees him talking on phone and asks him to keep his phone down. Payal again think his boss is scolding him and advice him to work hard and not joke with his work but Dev cuts call before she can say anything further and tells her he has come for an exam and will speak to her later. Few moments later, Aditya comes in with his bullet and enters the exam hall late. Devin is also shocked to see him and call out his name.
Dev’s brother Aditya enter the examination hall and interrupt the exam. The examiner gets afraid seeing him. Aditya says it is his parent’s marriage anniversary today and he wants his brother Dev right now. He dismisses the exam for the day and takes Dev in his bike. Dev says he would have let him finish exam but Aditya says his exam will be tomorrow.
Aditya's children Sonu and Bunty are shown practicing Ramayan drama and creating havoc. Dev’s father Jogeshwar asks them to stop and says their mother creates Kurukshetra at home and he does not need Ramayan. They ask their grandfather to give them 50 rupees as bribe to keep their mouth shut. Dev's father hesitantly agrees and hands over the money to them. Aditya and Dev reach home and they ask 20 rupees to not create havoc at tonight’s function.
He agrees and gives them money. His sister says he is spoiling the kids. Aditya says they are his children and can do anything and his sister says even she is his sister.
Dev greets his father’s friend and his father's friend says he is happy seeing Aditya as a big contractor of the city and Dev is trying to become a bank manager. As their conversation continues, Aditya father's friend asks about Aditya’s wife Gulkan. Just then, a lady shouts at the servants to bring hot water and also scolds the servant for bringing it late, she keeps her foot in the water and throws the water on the servant’s face and asks to get more hot water for her. Aditya comes there and asks if she did not get ready yet. She says she is angry. The servant says the palanquin has come.
Dev’s mother asks him why the palanquin has come. Dev says it is for her. Dev's mother Santoshi starts his filmy style conversation. Aditya's sister informs her mother that Aditya and Gulkan are fighting. Gulkan is seen holding palanquin and asking Aditya why did he not tell her about the palaquin. He says he forgot. She says then she should forget palanquin also. Santoshi comes there and asks what is happening. Gulkan continues provoking Aditya. Just when Aditya is about to hit her, his mother stops him and says they both can use palanquin. Gulkan says she will sit alone. Santoshi thinks even she will sit alone.
Bhuvaneshwar meanwhile is busy reading book. Payal comes home sadly. Her father asks what is the issue. She says once she buys a car for Rajat, they can tell him he bought it. He asks why should he. She says Rajat will not accept the car from her as she is younger to him. Her father says it is true inferiority does not come with age alone.
Gulkan coming in palanquin instead of Dev’s mother. Dev's father’s friend asks where their mother is. She says she is coming. At the same time, Santoshi comes there dressed as bride with 2 ladies. The guest asks when her husband came on horse like a groom, then why did she come walking instead of coming in palanquin. She says she came in this house walking when she got married, so she wanted to come walking even now. Everyone clap and Gulkan gets jealous with this. Both Dev's father and mother exchange garlands and then cut a hug cake. They then sit on stage like bride and groom.
At the anniversary of Dev’s parents a situation arises that causes an intense scene at the function when Gulkan decide to crate a drama and asks DJ to play a sexy song. He plays Ye Dunya Pittal Di…Baby Doll Mai Sone Di…song. She dances sexily in a mujra style while Aditya and family watch angrily. The men join her and throw money on her. Irked Afitya stops the music and drags her from the party venue. She stops and slaps him in front of all the guests. Aditya raise his voice. She asks him to dare not touch her, else she will cut his hand and stuff it in his back.
Gulkan angrily walks into her room after slapping her husband Aditya. Her sister-in-law follows her and asks why did she slap her husband. She says she brought a huge dowry and have come to rule. Dev's father Jogeshwar tells his friend that he did mistake by taking drowy from Gulkan as she is arrogantly trying to rule over them. His friend says there is nothing wrong in dowry. Jogeshwar says time has changed and dowry is a menace now, as girls think they can do anything after paying dowry. Payal calls on Dev’s phone and Aditya picks it up. She tells him she is Payal and works as engineer in PWD, she then asks if he will do his work or not. Aditya says he has gone out and will let him know once he comes back. She scolds him and cuts the call. Jogeshwar tells his friend that he needs bride with benefits for Dev as she will earn money for her whole life. Aditya gives Dev the phone and inform him that a girl has called. Dev says someone wants to buy car and by mistake called him, and he does not even know who she is. Aditya says her name is Payal and she is PWD engineer.
Payal tells her father Bhuvaneshwar that she had spoken to an executive regarding the car loan, but he did not pay heed at all. He says she can complain to her boss. She says he may lose his job, so she does not wan to and is thinking of taking someone else’s help. Her father smiles and tells Neelu that her sister is so sensitive. Payal's mother Indu comes and asks her husband why don’t he spend time with his son instead of always being with his daughters. He says he can speak to his son his whole life, but his daughters will go to their homes after marriage soon. On hearing this, Payal and Neelu get emotional and hug him.
Gulkan comes down and asks Aditya that she wants to have kulfi outside. He gets irked and says there is a lot of sweets at home. She shouts at him. Dev says he will take her out and leaves. Dev's father who is very irked asks his son Aditya to do something to this arrogant woman. He says he has taken dowry from her, now he wants her to take her to the cliff and push her down or get her accident. His wife, Santoshi asks how can he think about his daughter-in-law like this. He asks her to go to her room yelling. Dev takes Gulkan and his sister out to a kulfi shop. Dev's sister says she needs Rabdi Jalebi. Dev leaves to get it from nearby shop. Just then, two goons come there and start misbehaving with his sister. Gulkan comes to her rescue and confronts the goons and beat them with her shoes. The goons runs away and she runs after them holding her shoes. The goons clash with Dev and run again. Dev then stops his sister-in-law Gulkan and asks why is she running after them. Dev's sster explain to him that the goons even teased her, so Gulkan confronted them. Dev also gets angry. His sister stops him. Dev asks Gulkan she was fighting with her family at home and now she is protecting them. Gulkan says it is her wish how to behave with her family, but if someone eyes them badly, then she will not keep quiet.
Government officer comes to meet Aditya and informs him that he cannot give him contract. Upon hearing his tender has been refused, Aditya takes matters into his own hands without knowing he is soon to meet his match, he sees the servant carrying cow’s feed and forces the officer to drink it. His father laughs seeing this. Aditya tells the officer that he needs contract, else he will make his life hell. Once he leaves, his father tells him that he did right and asks him to keep an eye on the officer. Aditya says his biggest problem is Gulkan, he points out that it is already late and she has not yet come home. His father says they are surviving lavish life on Gulkan’s dowry money and if they don't plan anything soon, they will be on the road. Either he should get a big contract or regular income before that.
Payal goes to a club and asks her assistant why did the motor company manager called her here instead of calling at office. Her assistant says the manager is having some work here, so he called her here and this time he did not make any mistake as he is carrying his specs with him now. A pregnant lady who is sitting nearby gets up from sit her sit to drink water. Aditya comes there and sits on the lady’s seat. The pregnant lady comes back and politely tells him the seat is hers. Aditya takes even opposite seat and asks her to go home and rest. Payal gives the pregnant lady her seat and tells Aditya that he is a low class man. Aditya asks his goon if government officer comes here. He says yes. Aditya says he did gave contract to his rival contractor, so he will teach him a lesson today. The officer comes there and smiles at his pregnant wife when he sees Aditya and runs away. Aditya follows him and beats him ruthlessly. The fficer pleads to spare him as his wife is pregnant. Payal reaches there with the officer’s wife. Aditya asks the officer to remove his clothes. Payal intervenes and says he should not misbehave with others. Aditya asks who she is. She says it is none of his business and asks her assistant to call the police. Aditya says he is not afraid of police and is about to hit the officer again when Payal rescues him. Aditya angrily leaves. The manager comes there and and Payal introduces herself as Payal Rai. On hearing her name, Aditya reminisces speaking to her over the phone.
The manager gives vehicle's test drive to Payal and drops her at the club back. While Payal walks on the road, her veil mistakenly covers Dev’s face. Dev gets mesmerized seeing her beauty. Payal feels embarrassed seeing him staring at her and tells that she should not walk so carelessly. He continues staring at her and holds her veil. She asks him to leave her veil. He gets conscious and says he is Dev. Payal thinks he is motor company manager’s assistant and says they can sit and talk. He gets confused. She asks where to write her details. He asks why. She writes on the paper and hands it over to him. Dev’s friend comes there and takes him from there. The manager comes with his assistant and introduces him. Payal is surprised.
