Thursday Update On Lies Of The Heart Episode 417--419

Twenty years later, new Urmi comes to Ishaan’s photo and talks with him that he left her 20 years ago and she had his memories only. She knows he liked to see her moving on and that is what she did.
She moved on with his memories and their children, Shaurya and Ishaani. He wanted Ishaani to be just like her ( Urmi) and she’s very much like her, same lips, eyes, nose and smile but only in one thing, she has got of him ( Ishaan ) which is his stubbornness. She’s also very stubborn. Once she decides to do anything, she makes sure she does it. In spite of saying no, she went to Lonawala because she wanted to go. And Shaurya..he has become a successful person like Ishaan and that he is winning an award for some newspaper and that’s where she ( Urmi ) got ready to go now.

At the award function, Shaurya’s newspaper is declared to receive an award. Shaurya, being the owner, goes on the stage to receive it. All family members cheer for him and his face is shown as he makes his presence on the stage, while all cheerfully applaud him. Urmi gets highly emotional seeing him. He is handed the trophy, but he rejects it back, boggling his family, especially his mother, Urmi. Shaurya then takes the mike, and tells about the inception of Awaz News Channel, and how the reason behind its growth and the success is his mother principles and ideologies, that brought AWAZ to this pedestal. He says that he would like to receive this trophy from his mother, Urmi Ishaan Sinha. His family loves the idea, while Urmi is overwhelmed with emotions. She comes up to the stage, and as Shaurya wished, Urmi hands her son Shaurya the trophy, congratulating him, and then points out how along with Ishaan, one more person’s work has landed such a huge success, and mentions for Diya Tiwari’s presence on the stage, without whom the news channel and its stupendous success is incomplete. They all wait for Diya Tiwari’s arrival, but she doesn't show up.

Later, everyone congratulate Shaurya for his success. Cheeku attends to a phone call tensedly. Urmi asks about Cheeku’s work, and Shaurya says that he is learning fast, and would cope well soon. She is happy as Gaurav was tensed for Cheeku’s career. Urmi asks why did Diya not come. He says that she is highly unpredictable and reckless. Urmi says that she is highly deserving and passionate. Shaurya agrees, but asks her not to praise her in front of her, as she then becomes gloating about her work. Cheeku comes there and tells them that Diya took over the high profile case that some other correspondent was handed. Shaurya gets angry, while Cheeku says that he will check and asks him to relax. Shaurya is angry but Urmi asks him to let her do it. He points out that it's complicated and risky. Urmi asks if it's because she is a girl. He says that it isn't, as it's impulsive and rash, as she goes to extremes trying to cover a story, and this being a high profile case, the stakes are higher. He adds that he just wants her to be safe, and Urmi assures him that Diya would be fine. He leaves hastily to check on Diya, when Cheeku comes and informs him that she isn't picking his phone. He says that he knows where Diya must have gone.

At Ishaan’s residence, while Urmi serves everyone sweets, everyone are happy that Shaurya got this prestigious award. Alok points out that Shaurya has Urmi and Ishaan’s principles reflected in him. Urmi asks about her mother-in-law Damini and knows that she is in the room, waiting for Ishaani. They talk about Ishaani, and Alok announces her arrival, just as she walks in, drenched. Urmi comes in asking her to hurriedly change, but she jerks her hand away and asks her mother Urmi not to do the drama of loving her, adding that if she feels that this drama will make her a mother, then it won't happen. Her grandfather Anirudh reprimands her for talking like this to her mother but she blunt out that Urmi isnt, as had she been, she wouldn't have taken away her father from her, as a mother does more than just giving birth to her child. Urmi stands hurt listen to this from her daughter. Anirudh asks her not to exaggerate, and stop blaming Urmi for the past.

Damini comes from above, in the balcony, asking who are they shushing. She steps down, saying that she is right, as any child can't forget that she didn't get the shadows of her father for one day, and only her mother is solely responsible for that, and such a mother can't be forgiven by any child. Anirudh is angry with his wife as Urmi's daughter Ishani gets influenced by Damini in a very negative manor and as a result she wants nothing to do with Urmi and asks Damini to stop punishing Urmi for a mistake for 20 years, the one that she didn't even commit. He asks her to let go. She asks why shouldn't she, as she is merely stating the truth. Anirudh is distraught. Ishaani rushes to her grandma Damini, while Urmi stands dejected. Damini continues saying that if Ishaani doesn't have a father today then it's due to Urmi only. Suddenly they find Ishaani sneezing, and Damini immediately asks her to go and change, while she gets tea for her. Urmi turns her eyes away.

In his room, Anirudh hears Urmi talking about the pain that Ishaani puts her through, after so many years, and how much she hates her for being the reason for her father’s death. She is in tears for this. Anirudh points out that Ishaani isn't at fault, but Damini’s wrong ideals and up bringing. He says that Ishaani speaks Damini’s words, and that her loss and her grief comes out in such a disastrous form, without realising that she is spoiling her granddaughter’s life. He asks her to have faith as one day she would understand but she is resentful that Ishaani has grown now, and would only hate her more with her senses. Urmi says that even her mother-in-law admits that she is at fault for Ishaan’s death. Anirudh says that he tried too, but failed. He adds that he can't see her pain now, and asks her to have faith in God, and his goodness. He says that time will solve everything, and with time, Ishaani’s bitterness will end, and asks Urmi to remain happy. Urmi stands tensed.

At undisclosed Location, Outside a mansion, a girl supposedely Diya, gets up on one of the walls, and then tries to cut the wire mesh with pliers, when Shaurya is searching for her in his car, sees her and immediately stops and rushes to her, stopping her from doing so. She lands in his arms, while he glances at her angrily.

Shaurya pull Diya and catching her in his arms. She gets shocked seeing him there. He says if he didn’t come, then he don’t know what would have happened to her and pointing out that those wires that she was going to cut have current in them. He shouts at her for taking over the story in spite of him saying no. She argues back with him. They are then leaving from there. Shaurya asks her to go in his car, but she says she has her scooty and leaves on that. One person eyes Diya and says she keeps interfering in their business and they will need to do something about her.

They are in their office now and continues arguing about this. Diya says she had all the clues about that case and that’s why she took over and proudly says if he didn’t come there, then she would have somehow returned to the office with the truth. He says she’s stupid and also says if he didn’t come there, then she would have been in hospital right now. Diya blames Cheeku for this as he told everything to Shaurya. At the end of their argument, Shaurya asks her to leave his cabin or will he leave. Diya pushes the chairs and leave. Shaurya shouts at her that he will take money from her salary.

Back home, Damini brings tea for Ishaani and fills her ears against Urmi that she’s the reason Ishaani doesn’t have her father today. She couldn’t see how good human being Ishaan was who never spoke against his mother, etc. Ishaani gets into her talks and says that’s why she hates her mother Urmi and doesn’t like seeing her face. She hates everything about her. Damini says she hates everything about her as well and when she sees her face, she sees her dead son there. She wanted to throw Urmi out of the house that time only, but stayed quiet after thinking about Ishaani but Urmi cares only about Shaurya, as she sees Shaurya everywhere and he too is his mother’s son only that imbibe all the qualities of his mother and he always favors Urmi. Ishaani decline that, there’s no fault of him that he’s very nice and loves her a lot ( referring to herself as Shaurya's sister).
Damini reminds her that Shauraya is still an outsider and he lives in the house like he’s the heir of the house, but actually she’s the heir and she’s Ishaan’s child. Ishaani takes Shaurya’s side and says this house is his too and she is proud of him. Damini says she is proud of him as well, but for her, Ishaani is everything. Ishaani hugs her. Damini thinks she don’t know what magic Shaurya has done on her granddaughter, Ishaani.

Diya is mad and is packing her stuff. She says she doesn’t want to work in a place where there’s no appreciation. She do work and then take others orders. Cheeku asks whose orders does she take and points out that most of the times, she does what she wants. Cheeku asks her if she will leave the office for one story? She asks him to look at their boss that he’s so khadus and she doesn’t want to work with him and once she leaves, he will know her importance. Cheeku asks if she gave her resignation letter? She puts it in his hand and asks him to give it to Shaurya. She leaves with her belongings. Cheeku feels she is a strange girl as she is and Shaurya too. Shaurya comes there and asks what happened. Cheeku inform him that she left. Shaurya says, so? It’s her every day drama. Cheeku tells him that this time she gave him her resignation letter. Shaurya says there must be many of those and he doesn’t need to see them.

At home, Anirudh tells Shaurya to consider his manager’s son for internship at Awaaz. Shaurya reply that since he said so then it will be done. Just when Shaurya is leaving, Ishaani stops him to check her designs and choose the best one. Shaurya says he needs to go and asks her to email him, but she refuses. Shaurya chooses 1 design. Ishaani says she also liked the same one. Damini comes with coffee for Ishaani. Shaurya says he wanted one too. Ishaani gives hers to him saying she will drink later, as she’s only at home. Shaurya declines as Damini brought for her, but she and Anirudh tell him to drink. Shaurya drinks it. Damini doesn’t like it. Ishaani asks her if she can make another for her. She says sure. Urmi comes there and asks Shaurya if he can drop her. He says sure and they leave saying bye to everyone. Ishaani doesn’t respond to her mother. Their phone rings. Sandhya picks it up. They ask for Urmi. Sandhya says she just left and ask them to try her cell or office number. Anirudh asks what happened. Sandhya inform him that the police have arrested some girls. The NGO asked them to hand over some girls to them, but they are not listening, so the NGO people wanted to talk to her.

Diya is in market. Some goons stop her and ask her to back out from the hit and run case. Adding that this time they are leaving her with warning, but next time, it may become her hit and run case. Diya takes this as a challenge and decides to take the case in her hand only.

Diya comes to Shaurya’s cabin and transfers halwa from box to a lunch box and hides the box. Shaurya comes in and gets surprised seeing her. She gives him halwa saying her mum made it for him. She asks him to taste it and says she had to go so far to buy carrots. Shaurya likes it. He sees the box, but stays quiet. Diya then reminds him that her gift for covering one of the cases is still pending. He asks what he can do for her. Diya, with slight hesitation, asks him to let her handle the hit and run case. He tells her that Rakesh, other reporter, is handling it and that’s final. When leaving, he tells her to take her box too that she hid. Cheeku gets shocked on seeing Diya. He asks if she resigned and what is she doing there then? She politely says that was yesterday and today she joined again.

While the NGO group is waiting for Urmi as cops are not listening to them about handing over sex workers to them. Ishaani comes there instead of Urmi and tells the cops that they are registered NGO group and they have right to involve in such cases. The cop says they raided here and first they will take all of them to police station. Ishaani shows them the permission from the commissioner and then finally the cops let the NGO group handle the case. Ishaani asks the NGO ladies if they need any help, but they say no. Ishaani leaves. Soon after Urmi comes there. The NGO ladies inform her Ishaani came and solved everything. Urmi gets surprisingly happy. NGO ladies say she is like Urmi’s shadow. They take all the ladies to their place and call their relatives to take them. The ones that don’t have any relatives or don’t care, Urmi tells the NGO workers to send the woman to rehabbing center. One lady asks Urmi to tell her what they will do with her as well. Urmi asks her if she have any relatives. The lady says she has no one, and she got this profession from her mother. She’s born to do this only, so she better leave her alone. Urmi asks if she must know some relatives. The lady says all she knows is that her mother was from Jhansi and shows her the photo. Urmi discovers something very shocking about Rashmi as she gets shocked seeing Gaurav’s first wife, Rashmi’s, photo. Later, she meets Gaurav and hesitantly shows her the photo to him which shocks him as well.

Diya is still not giving up to let the case go. She tells Shaurya that the driver is not responsive for the accident and they are just trapping him in that. She adds that their servant knows and that is why they are not letting her take his interview. Shaurya asks how she knows and was she sitting in the car that day as well? Diya says it’s not funny and inform him that today they tried to threaten her. Shaurya asks how much she will lie in one day. Diya says she’s not lying, but he doesn’t believe her. Rakesh comes and gives the case file to Shaurya saying the driver is responsible only. Diya can’t believe this. She asks if he took the servant’s interview. Rakesh says yes. Shaurya stares at Diya and gives the case file to Cheeku to print it in tomorrow’s edition. Diya still can’t digest this and decides to find the exact truth as it’s about their newspaper reputation.

She calls her friend to get Rakesh’s calls logs, but she doesn’t pick up. She decides to meet her personally. Her bike doesn’t start. Shaurya sees her and asks what problem came in her life now. She says she has to go cover some story. Shaurya says he’s going to same side and offer to drop her. While they are going in car, someone stops his bike in front of their car. He removes his helmet and stares at them.
