Justice Alooma Muktar becomes Nigeria's first female Chief Justice
Justice Alooma Muktar was today confirmed as the first female Chief Justice of Nigeria, (CJN) by the Senate. It would be recalled that President Goodluck Jonathan had nominated her to assume the premier position as Chief Justice of Nigeria’s Supreme Court as the successor to Justice Dahiru Musdapher, who retired middle of July, 2012.
