Third ALABI Couture Charity Fashion Show holds on Sunday, Dec 8

The yearly Charity Fashion Show organised by ALABI Couture will hold on Sunday, December 8.  This year, the event will take place at the Living Fountain Orphanage Home, plot 22, Chief Yesufu Abiodun way, near Atlantic Beach Estate Oniru Victoria Island. The event is billed to start at 2 pm. The children are expected to have lots of fun.

According to the CEO, Alabi Couture, Meg Alabi, “ALABI Couture organises a Charity fashion show annually in December where we select an orphanage home in Lagos and just put smiles on the faces of the Children, staff of the home and generally on everyone’s present on that day. This is the 3^rd Charity Fashion show by ALABI Couture.”

She added that, “Our fashion house sees this as a way of giving back to the less privilege and to the society. We make clothes for all the children of the home and all the staff (a way of saying thank you to them for taking care of these Children) and we contact different celebrities and make clothes for them to model for the children, we make that day a fun day for the Children.

The children are given new clothes, some of which they wear on the day of the fashion show. They also get toys, reading materials, food items, toiletries and other items are donated to the Home. The Event usually takes place at the orphanage home as gifts and other items will be handed over and collected by the staff of the Home.

At the last two Charity Fashion shows for 2011 and 2012, over 25 celebrities graced the show.”

What is new about this year?

1.      There will more side attraction (comedy, music, dance group)

2.      Awards will be giving in different categories to the staff of the home

3.      There will be an auction segment, where donated gift items will be auction and the proceeds goes to the orphanage home.

4.      Awards will also be giving to the staff this year, as a way of showing appreciation to them.

3.      Award to the Orphanage Home
