Chairman of the Peoples’ Democratic
Party, PDP, in Anambra State, Kenneth Emeakayi, has been abducted by unknown
gunmen.
The party chieftain was kidnapped on
Monday morning, December 2 some hours after the Independent National Electoral Commission,
INEC, declared the candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA,
Willie Obaino, as winner of the November 16, 2013, election.
It was learnt that
Emeakayi was returning to Awka from his Okija village when the gunmen
intercepted his car at Anyafulujiji Junction, Nri. He was whisked away by his
assailants.
