John Dramani Mahama, 53, was sworn in as Ghana' s president yesterday evening after the  sudden death of the incumbent president, John Evans Atta Mills after a prolonged battle with throat cancer.

Mr. Mahama use to be the vice president of Ghana. He is writer and historian. Mr. John Dramani Mahama recently toured the US to launch his autobiography.

Flood kills 35 in Jos

Tragedy struck again in Jos, the Plateau State capital, as no fewer than 35 people were confirmed dead yesterday, following a flood disaster which ravaged some parts of the city on Sunday.

Veteran Nollywood actor, Gogo Ombo is dead. It was gathered that he died yesterday, Sunday, July 22.

The prolific actor acted in both English and Yoruba movies.
His death came barely two weeks after Pastor Oladiyun of CLAM organised a prayer session for Nigerian celebrities to avert death.
