The University of Lagos on Sunday, May 13 declared three days of mourning in honour of its late Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Adetokunbo Babatunde Sofoluwe, who passed on at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) in the early hours of Saturday, May 12, 2012.
The mourning period which starts today, Monday through Wednesday, (May 14- 16) will ensure that all lectures, statutory meetings and other university activities at its three campuses (Akoka, Yaba and Idi-Araba, including ISL and Staff School) will not hold.

Also, the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), University of Lagos chapter has declared today, and Tuesday, lecture-free days in honour of its departed member and the institution’s Vice-Chancellor.
President Goodluck Jonathan on Sunday, May 13 expressed sadness over the death of Prof. Sofoluwe.
