World's longest wedding dress train displayed in Romania


Emma Dumitrescu, a 17 year-old model wore the wedding dress with the longest train in the world during a Guinness World Record attempt in Bucharest on Tuesday, March 20, 2012.
The 2,750 meter long train broke a previous record of 2,488 meters held by a Dutch desihner. It is made of 4,700 meters of material using 1,857 needles and it took 100 days to make.
She rode a hot air balloon on Tuesday over a main boulevard in Romania's capital as part of a promotion  with the dress' 1.85 mile long train flowing dramatically under her.
The gown, certified as the longest bridal train in history by the Guinness World Records, was designed by a local designer, Andree Salon fashion house.
