Whitney Houston who reigned as pop music's queen until her majestic voice and regal image were ravaged by drug use, erratic behavior and a tumultuous marriage to singer Bobby Brown has died.
She died on Saturday, February 11 at the age of 48.
Beverly Hilton hotel employees told TMZ that Whitney Houston was found dead in the bathtub of her room. Paramedics performed CPR, but it did not work and she was pronounced dead at 3:55 PM.
Houston's death on the eve of the Grammy Awards sent shock waves through the music industry, with many stars expressing shock and sadness.
The world has indeed lost a legend. This is so so sad. Goodbye, Whitney you will be greatly missed.
