WCW: Kumkum Bhagya's Sriti Jha

Popular and beautiful Indian television actress, Sriti Jha is our WCW. Jha started her career with the television series, Dhoom Machaao Dhoom in 2007 on Disney India.

 

Sriti who turned 33 yesterday, February 26, is not just all about the pretty face, rather she is a beauty with the brains who has bagged several awards for playing the role of Pragya on the Zee TV’s show. 

She garnered the Indian Telly Award for Best Actress in a lead role for portraying the character of Pragya Abhishek Mehra in Zee TV's soap opera Kumkum Bhagya (Twist Of Fate) opposite Shabir Ahluwalia. Her portrayal of Pragya has won her many awards and nominations, such as the Indian Telly Award for Best Actress in a Lead Role, Aadhi Aabadi Women Achiever Award and 6th GR8 Women Awards ME 2016. Jha also hosted Fempowerment awards in 2016.

In 2015, she received Best Stylish Beti Award from Television Style Award. In 2016, she received three awards at Zee Rishtey Awards. In 2018 she received Zee Gold Award Best Actress (Popular) Female. She received two Bollystar Vazana Awards from Indonesia for her performance in Lonceng Cinta, the dubbed version of Kumkum Bhagya in Indonesian language.


The Kumkum Bhagya actress has impressed audience with her roles in serials such as  Jiya Jale, Jyoti, Dil Se Di Dua, Saubhagyavati Bhava?, and Balika Vadhu.

Sriti was born on 26 February 1986 in Begusarai, Bihar, India. She went to live with her family in Kolkata where they stayed for 10 years, then moved to Kathmandu. Then they moved to New Delhi, where she continued her studies in Laxman Public School. She completed her bachelor of arts in English from Sri Venkateshwara College, New Delhi.
Well what many of her fans do not know is that Jha is also a trained dancer, and has participated in the dance show Nachle Ve with Saroj Khan.
