Mitali tells her mother-in-law that she has a feeling something huge is about to happen. The entire family is in the living room waiting for Abhi and everyone else. Abhi enters with everyone talking about how tedious shopping is. He then tells Purabh that he has another surprise for him. He gives Purabh an outfit that he chose for his engagement.
Abhi keeps interrupting Purabh as he tries to tell something. Purabh then loses his cool and screams at him. Abhi is shocked with his behaviour and asks him what's wrong. Purabh tells him that he has decided to not go ahead with the engagement and wants to cancel the ceremony. Abhi gets shocked.
Aaliya mocks Daadi, Purabh and Pragya telling them how she found out about Purabh's plan to cancel the engagement through her spy. She tells them that she let her spies loose on Purabh which is how she found out about his plan. She then tells them how she made a guy book the tickets and how she managed to call Purabh’s relatives. After mocking them, Aaliya and Tanu leave the room. Pragya is feeling low. She reaches home and tells her mother Sarla everything that happened. Sarla then asks her to sit and asks what is bothering her. Pragya talks about how helpless she is feeling at the moment. Sarla asks her to stay strong when Pragya tells her that she is tired of watching her dreams shatter all the time. Seeing Pragya in despair, Sarla says that her daughter is very strong and she cannot be defeated by such people.
Sarla consoles her and tells her that she believes in her. She also gives examples from Ramayana and motivates Pragya to not lose hope. She reminds her of how Tanu and Nikhil tried to separate Abhi and her ( Pragya ) in the past but they were not able to as Pragya always stood by Abhi. She tries to encourage Pragya and make her fight back. Pragya hugs her mother. Abhi dreams about Pragya and wakes up. He drinks a glass of water and wonders why he is so disturbed. He feels that he is losing someone close. He thinks that now when Pragya is getting engaged to Purabh, he should not think about Pragya so much, it is wrong. Tanu enters his room asking if he called her and he blurts Pragya's name by mistake. He tells her that he is getting a feeling that someone he loves is going away from him. Tanu tries to get cosy with Abhi. She says that if Abhi in not feeling well, she volunteers to sleep next to him tonight and he tells her that they can't sleep in the same room unless they get married. He also says that Daadi will not allow this. Tanu says that she will take the permission from her.
Aaliya thinks to herself that in the end, she is going to end up with him. In the morning, Sarla gets coffee for Pragya and motivates her as she feels very directionless. Pragya comes to Abhi's house and feels awkward looking at all the decorations in the house and Tanu stops her to mock her. Tanu taunts her that she is going inside, silently and scared and says it’s a pity that Prgaya is not able to get Abhi as her life partner as people gets things according to their value and status. She says that Pragya’s family wants only Purabh to be their son-in-law that is why they chose him for both the daughters.
Tanu who is enjoying Pragya’s condition mocks Pragya by telling her everything about the engagement plan that she has organised with Aaliya that she has done special flower decorations and other arrangements for her and Purabh’s engagement party. Tanu tells Pragya that tonight is going to be a torture for her and she doesn’t want to favour her, but she is doing it to celebrate her and Aaliya’s victory. Pragya leaves but Tanu follows her asking why she isn't talking. She is interrupted up by Abhi who asks Pragya why she is here so soon. He asks her to cancel all his appointments and focus on the engagement. Before leaving, Tanu smiles and asks Pragya to call her when she is getting ready since she wants to help her get ready. Pragya is about to leave to meet Purabh and Daadi but somehow falls into Abhi's arms wondering why he isn't able to understand her feelings for him. Abhishek feels that Pragya is upset.
She asks Aaliya who she can keep an eye on. Aaliya asks Mitali to keep an eye on Daasi and also asks her to give all the updates to her. Mitali thanks her for including her in their plan. The ceremony starts in the living room. Purabh's relatives are confused about the engagement and argue about confronting him to show their disagreement over his engagement with Pragya. They are shocked to know that he is marrying Pragya who is Abhi’s wife and Purabh’s sister-in-law. Purabh sees them and heads over to talk to them. Purabh's aunt scolds Purabh for not even telling them about anyone. They also don’t like the way, they have been invited to the party by Aaliya and even tell him how rudely Aaliya behaved with them. They start questioning him and he tells them that this is as shocking for him as it to them.
Purabh is about to tell them everything about Abhi’s condition and the story behind this but Aaliya butts in to stop him. She is about to take them to meet Abhi when Purabh stops her. She takes them away anyway. Sarla and Beeji run into Tanu who mocks them that they have come to attend the ceremony. Tanu asks them why they were upset since their daughter was getting married to a rich man and free of cost. They have a verbal spat. Sarla takes a dig at Tanu's character shutting her up where by she curses Tanu and says that she can never become a daughter-in-law of Mehra's or anybody. Tanu feels insulted. Sarla continues insulting her and that Tanu doesn’t deserve a husband because she can use anyone’s name for marriage and then pregnant from some another man. Sarla sees Aaliya and calls her sweetly. She asks her to mind her behaviour but Aaliya gives it back to her and leaves with Tanu. Abhi sees Nikhil at the party and talks to him.
Abhi tells Pragya that he wants to introduce her to her in-laws. Abhi keeps praising Pragya in front of Purabh's family as Aaliya announces asking everyone to dance. Tanu forces Abhi to dance with her but he tells her that Purabh and Pragya should dance together. He gets angry when Pragya says she doesn't want to but they oblige because of Abhi. Everybody looks at Purabh and Pragya uncomfortably. Aaliya then pushes Abhi and Tanu to dance. Mitali drags her husband, too, on the dance floor.
Purabh and Pragya are talking about how to stop the engagement and Aaliya purposely pushes Pragya on Purabh. While dancing, Aaliya and Pragya exchange partners. Aaliya lands with Purabh and Pragya with Abhi. Purabh purposely steps on Aaliya's feet hurting her and Tanu takes her away. Purabh tells Pragya that he stepped on Aaliya's foot because she tried making a move on him. Aaliya tells Tanu that he is just doing this out of frustration since they have given up.
Aaliya then decides to get them engaged sooner and gives the priest money to get them engaged before the muhurat. She bribes him with more money and he agrees to do it. Pragya is wandering in the kitchen unable to come up with a counter plan and gets zoned out since she is feeling helpless as she doesn’t want to get engaged to Purabh. She is not even interested in doing the drama. She gets an idea and cuts her ring finger through the kitchen knife. The priest tells Abhi that the engagement needs to happen in the next 10 minutes. Abhi then makes an announcement about the engagement. Purabh, Daadi and Daasi are in their room worried when Purabh apologises to Sarla saying that he is ashamed of everything.
Sarla tells him that she believes him and tells him that they should have listened to her when she said the plan wouldn't work. She also says that she has a feeling Pragya will somehow stop the engagement. Just then, Mitali walks in to call them. She informs them that Abhi has announced that the muhurat has changed and leaves. Sarla leaves without saying anything. Abhi sees Purabh walking towards him and talks about his friendship. He then asks about Pragya and Purabh is surprised that she isn't here.
He volunteers to look for her but Abhi says that he will look for her. Abhi calls for Pragya and she appears. Abhi asks them to start the engagement rituals when Pragya lifts her hand which is bleeding profusely. A worried Abhi panics and attends to her wound but in a few moments, she faints because of blood loss. He shouts seeing her lying unconscious and everyone comes. Aaliya and Tanu frown over their failed plan. Abhi lifts Pragya and takes her to his room.
Purabh calls the doctor but no one is available. Abhi panics and tries to stop the bleeding as Pragya lies unconscious on the bed. Purabh asks Mitali to get some water. Aaliya and Tanu are talking about what lengths Pragya can go to to stop the engagement. They stop Mitali and ask her what's going on upstairs. Mitali tells Aalia and Tanu about Pragya’s condition and how Abhi is taking care of her. Aaliya says that Pragya purposely hurt herself to spoil the ceremony. Sarla overhears Aaliya and blames them for Pragya's condition. She even warns them saying that if Pragya doesn't regain consciousness, she will go and tell Abhi the truth about everything. She asks them to pray that Pragya gets well soon or she will definitely make their lives hell.
