Suddenly the lights switch on and he is shocked as everybody sings 'Happy anniversary' to him. He says a big thanks to everyone for it and his dad tells him to come in. He walks to his dad and takes his blessings from both his parents and says that this was the surprise uncle Harry and his mother wanted to tell him but they couldn't'. Harry tries to say something but Lovely stops him. Jyoti asked him how he find the surprise to be. Veer says that it was totally like a surprise. DD asks someone to go get Soni as they all can't wait to see her. She comes downstairs with Mahi. Soni and Veer looks at each other and Veer remembers that he wanted to see the mata rani's coin with Soni . But once again Aunt Lovely says something to distract Veer's attention whiles Harry also tries to mimic her . Veer looks down as if he is upset. Soni and Mahi walks down nervously.
Mahi wishes them both a happy anniversary and they both say thanks. Uncle Harry comments that both Soni and Veer looks at each other like they are meeting for the first time. Harry tells them to hold their hands. Veer does it hesitantly even though he didn't want to. Harry calls them a perfect couple. Lovely tells them that she has a bigger surprise for both Soni and Veer.
Two hosts comes on stage .They are Raja and Sumeda . They say a few words to both the couples that they are the best and are good looking. Later they sang a beautiful song at the event. Meanwhile Durga and Cherry keeps looking at the clock to see the time. She gets off the stage to Veer and Soni and makes them dance with each other. Soni is upset about how Veer was acting. Everybody claps for the couple who are still dancing after the lights have been switched on.
Veer removes Soni's hand away from his shoulders. He asks her to give him the gift he asked for. He tells her to give him the mataranis coin. Soni looks at Veer in shock. Mahi is watching all this. Everybody stops what they were doing and all have a serious faces on because they see what was happening. Veer asks whether if she has it or not. Cherry gets happy seeing all this. Veer tells Soni that if she would have asked for something then he (Veer) would have given his life for it. He tells him that he only asked for one thing that he gave her. Soni looks helpless. Veer tells Soni that he gave the coin to her with a lot of trust so why didn't she bring it? Soni has tears in her eyes and is just looking down.
Durga remembers that Cheery had told a guy to come to the event at 9 on the dot. She looks towards the clock and it read 8:55pm. She looks towards the door but sees no one. Veers turns around and looks at Mahi. He says to Soni that she said she has given the coin to Mahi. Soni looks up to speak but she couldn't say anything. Veer tells her that he will just ask Mahi directly. Soni looks towards Mahi who looks down. Veer asks Mahi about the maratani coin? Mahi does not know what to say and Cherry smirked evily upon seeing her plans been paid off. Maui also has tears in her eyes, she does not know what to say. Veer asks again ' haven't u given it back to Soni'? whiles Cherry also looks at the clock which says 8:55pm. Mahi walks towards Veer and Soni, she holds Soni's hand. She apologies to Veer and also lies that she (Mahi) has lost the coin. Veer looks shocked. Mahi craft a drama and also seeks Soni's forgiveness. She tells her that she has given the coin to her with so much trust and she lost it. DD speaks in between and also tells Veer that such things happen as humans makes mistakes and as such nobody would do it on purpose. Veer tells them that he just wanted to know this. Mahi is standing and crying as well. Veer once again asked Mahi if truly Soni had given her the coin? Mahi says yes. He asked if she was speaking the truth? She looks up and says ' yes'. Mahi tells him why would he lie? Veer tells him to swear on his husband (Stand) Soni is shocked when he said that and Mahi looked up as well in dilemma.
Veer tells her that if she swear on Shabd then he would believe that Soni had truly given her the coin and now she has lost it. Veer says that DD is telling the truth and indeed anybody could make a mistake and according to him if Mahi has made a small mistake then she shouldn't have a problem swearing on Shabd. Mahi is shocked she cant stop crying and does not know what to do. Soni is equally in a bad state. Veer asks Mahi whether if she will swear on her Shabd or not. She looks up unable to decide.
Everybody is watching them to see what happens. Cherry looks so happy. Veer angrily shouts at Mahi' she is so shocked that she jumps back in a state of shock. Veer looked very angry whiles Soni is holding Mahi's hand. Veer is pointing a finger at her whiles talking. Mahi runs from there crying because she did not know what to say. Veer asks Mahi to stop and also asks where she was going. Soni tells Veer that Mahi did not loose the coin. Everybody is shocked. Mahi looks shocked because she could not do anything for her sister and everyone s just looking at them. Veer is so shocked himself.
Soni goes on to say that she actually did not give the coin to Mahi and so Mahi was not at fault. Veer says that he knew she had not given the coin to Mahi and he wanted to extract the truth from her which is why he had to force Mahi to swear on Shabd. He asks Soni to tell him who she gave the coin to and who is so close to her that she did not care for the coin he had trusted her with. Soni who is unable to answer and usual quiet keeps listening to whatever Veer was saying. Durga interrupts by saying that the coin was with her as she notices the bouquet guy comes in with flowers and gift. She goes close to Veer and Soni and says that the coin is with her. Durga unfolds the coin she has in her palm. She says that she was at fault and it was not Soni's fault because Soni had given her the coin to keep it safely but she had forgotten where she had kept it and alas was able to finally find it in her jewellery box. She tells Veer that her daughter in law Soni is not at fault and that she just kept listening to all that Veer was saying and that she never said anything in return. She apologizes to Soni and Veer and walks away from there. Veer in turn apologizes to Soni and says that he will never doubt her again. Every one seems happy except Cherry who is exchanging glances with Durga.
After the party, Soni goes to see Mahi off and they share a sister talk where Soni says that this was a miracle of the mata rani and also blessings of her mother that why she was saved. Whiles she didn't know how she had lost the coin. Mahi urges Soni to tell Veer the truth about her past and tries to take a promise from Soni that she will talk to Veer that night. Soni says that she does not want to promise because she will not be able to tell Veer anything that night because she saw him smiling after a long time and that after listening to the truth he will not be able to bear it, but she promises that she will tell him anyway and will tell him everything from now on. Mahi says that she trusts her but not her guts. Mahi leaves by saying that before Soni's nightmare comes true and their relationship breaks she should tell the truth to Veer once and for all. In the room Durga and Jyoti are both talking about how she was able to secure a similar coin after looking around so much for it. She tells her that she was able to save Jeet from the conspiracy hatched today. Cherry walks in to their room and says that Durga should realise that she saved Soni along with Jeet and that wasn't their plan as she was so close to getting Soni to leave the house and that Durga spoilt everything. Durga tells her that she knew what her plan was and she saw her talking to the flower guy and how she had her son Jeet targeted as well. Cherry acts up by saying that it really wasn't her intention and she leaves. Durga says to herself that now she has to keep a close eye on Cherry.
Soni comes into the room and thanks Durga for saving her and that she doesn't really know where she had lost the coin. Soni becomes sentimental and cries a little bit by laying her head on Durga's laps. Durga says to herself that she actually wanted to save her son and not Soni and who will explain to her. As she is unhappy herself that she had to save Soni. She pretended and tells Soni to go to their room as Veer must be waiting for her.
Soni and Veer's room is decorated with flowers and candles. Soni enters thinking to tell Veer everything. There is hesitation among the two as to who will start speaking first. Finally both of them turn to each other to say something at the same time. Veer tells Soni that she need not say anything as her beautiful eyes spoke everything. A sweet romantic moment is shown between them.
The next day, the entire Sareen family is having their morning tea. Tayaji then asks Mahi to leave the lady to one good old-age home which was in Amritsar as Shabd would be coming back in two days. Mahi's eyes are filled with tears as she leaves the dining table. Tayiji is worried whether if Mahi was serious about the lady.
At the Khurana mansion, Veer is leaving to the office. Soni asks Veer to come home soon. Veer happily reply. Cherry enters and she says that she wants to go to the jewellery shop and asks if Veer could possibly drop her on the way. Both Veer and Cherry leaves.
Mahi's mother asks Mahi to plat her hair. Soni enters and says she will do it. Mahi's mother calls Mahi to stand near her, but Mahi says she would go and prepare tea for Soni. Mahi's mother reminds Mahi of the *elaichi vaali chai* Soni is happy that her mother remembers her likes so well. Mahi goes to prepare tea. Soni after sometime tells her mother that she would go and see what Mahi was doing.
Outside the kitchen, Mahi is bringing tea for Soni and her mother. Tayaji comes and enquires whether if Mahi would be able to console the lady to go to an old age home in two days as the people in charge had agreed to take her in. Soni hears this and she is left in shock.
