She says that she years for a little love on her side, and a small rendition of mother, and wonders how to assure herself that things will reverse. She thinks that she resigns herself, to thinking that Ishaani is happy, but she can't stand this anymore, and her patience is breaking now. She wonders how long would this continue and then leaves.
At Awaaz’s office, Diya’s residence, Cheeku angrily comes to Shaurya and asks why he fired Diya. Shaurya talks about her recklessness and frivolity. He clarifies everything. Shaurya asks if he has any proof. Cheeku says that he has all recordings of Jaamvaad with the bribed staff. Diya’s innocence is proven when Cheeku makes Shaurya listen to the recording, and also Diya was speaking the truth about her accident the previous night. Shaurya is tensed as he hears the entire recording. Shaurya is shocked and enraged too.
Meanwhile, Diya is super angry at Shaurya, for being so brash and not even giving her a chance to clarify. Karan angrily vents out his frustration at her boss, asking how can he be so inhumane but her father stands up for her boss, along with her mother. Karan says that if he actually cared, then he wouldn't have thrown her out, in front of everyone. Diya too decides to give Shaurya the benefit of doubt. Karan asks her to look for a job somewhere else. Diya gets Shaurya’s call, and gets worried. Her father asks her to pick up. Shaurya says that her amount is pending, and asks her to come and collect it, while she lashes at him anrgily saying that she doesn't need it, and he can keep it to himself but on her parents’ insistence, she calms down and agrees to go.
When Diya finally arrives, Shaurya who realises his mistake turns around to face her tensedly, as she stands with Karan. She comes and asks for her cheque. He hands it to her, and then wishes her all the best. She begins to leave, and he asks her to check the amount. She says that she doesn't need to, and retorts back with a taunt. Karan however asks her to check the amount, and Diya complies resignedly. She takes the check out and finds that sorry is written on it. Seeing that he apologises to her, she lashes at him asking what's this. He barely manages to speak, while Chiku enjoys it. She asks him to repeat his apology again. He says that he made a mistake. She continues to retort at him, while he says that since he insulted her in front of everyone, he should apologise in front of everyone. Chiku tells how Shaurya got to know everything. Karan says that whatever it is, Diya won't work here anymore. Shaurya says that its just a misunderstanding, and that he and Awaz both need her. She agrees, but Karan is shocked. She asks him to catch his ears and say sorry. He is outraged but complies nevertheless and he apologises to Diya. Diya happily and amused, agrees to join back. Shaurya leaves. Karan is angry and asks what does this mean. She happily waives off his concerns.
At Gaurav’s residence, Gaurav suggests a bizzarre idea to Urmi, that they should get Rashmi’s daughter to their house, from where she is currectly residing. He tells Urmi that he wants to take care of Rashmi's daughter. Urmi is outraged at what he suggests. Gaurav says that he may not be the father, but he can do atleast this much, as even if one girl is saved, he would find his life worthwhile. He says that he owes Roshni this much atleast. Urmi is tensed.
Cheeku tells Diya that they will drop her. Shaurya teases Diya saying a brave reporter who is not afraid of anyone got scared from her fiancĂ©. She says she’s not afraid of anything. She just cares for him and doesn’t want to upset him about anything. But they wouldn’t know as they have no connection with love whatsoever. Cheeku tells her to say that to Shaurya only, but not him. She knows he has a girlfriend. She tells him that he changes girlfriends every week or two and that’s not called love. Shaurya tells her to bring Karan to the party as well which they kept for Diya. She says okay. Shaurya jokes that way there won’t be an issue of picking her up or dropping her back home. Cheeku and Shaurya leave.
At home, Diya’s dad tells her that he’s proud of her and praises her. Diya’s brother thinks he’s taunting him for being jobless and gets pissed off. He says what more they want from him. He’s trying to find a job and now if he doesn’t get one, then what he should do. Diya calms them down saying it's a very happy day for her. She tells them about the party in evening. Her brother starts lecturing her about going to parties, coming late, etc. which is not good for society image. Diya says Karan is also going with her and he should also join them. He asks for what? When everyone asks him what he does, then he will say he’s jobless? Diya’s father tells her to leave him. Her brother tells his dad to keep supporting her but they will regret it later.
Urmi brings Gaurav to Nupur and asks if he’s sure about taking her home and point out that the girl attitude is not correct. Gaurav says he is. Urmi tells Nupur that Gaurav will take her to his home. First she thinks he’s just another client of hers. Urmi tells her to behave and says he will keep her at home as a daughter. She laughs and says everyone want to lift her in their lap and not adopt her. Urmi asks her to decide what she wants, whether to go with Gaurav and make her future or stay where she is currently staying.
At home, Asha is upset that she has to do all work alone and there is no one to talk with as Gaurav and Cheeku are always busy. Just then Urmi and Gaurav come there with Nupur. Urmi says now she will have a company. She asks who she is. Gaurav says a far relative from Jhansi. Urmi further tells Asha that her parents are no more, so they brought her here. Asha is happy and takes her to show her the house. Nupur is irritated already with Asha.
At party, everyone congratulate Diya and says she’s looking pretty. Karan doesn’t like everyone checking her out and asks quietly if she have to wear that dress. She asks what’s wrong in it. Shaurya shows everyone Diya getting praised on a news channel and everyone applause her. Cheeku praises her for showing courage and bringing the truth out. She says it wouldn’t have been possible without his help. They hug each other. Then Diya’s colleagues take her to take photographs and he again gets insecure seeing Diya close with everyone. Karan doesn’t like this either. When he gets a chance, he tells Diya thank you, wishing is fine, but does she have to hug like that? She says come on they are colleagues, and this much is fine. Karan says it’s all just show off and there’s something called simplicity too. Diya diverts his mind and says she’s thirsty and asks what he will drink. They go and sit on a table.
Cheeku sees them and asks Shaurya doesn’t he think that Karan is showing too much authority on her and what’s the need to show so much love publicly? Shaurya says what does it matter to him? It’s their life and should let them live and anyhow they love each other. Cheeku says he loves his girlfriend too, but they don’t do such a showoff. Cheeku then says leave that and asks him what his scene? He’s not a lover type, so he must have thought about arranged marriage. Shaurya tells him that his marriage will only be love marriage. Cheeku gets shocked. Shaurya says until he doesn’t fall in love, he won’t get married. Cheeku asks if he had any girlfriend. Shaurya asks if he has seen anyone ever? He says no. Shaurya says then his answer is no. Cheeku shows few girls to him saying they are his type, but Shaurya says no. Cheeku asks him if he likes Diya then or what? Shaurya becomes thoughtful.
Still at the Party, Chiku teases Shaurya about Diya, and is amused when he gets to know that there aren't any feelings involved. While Karan and Diya are sitting, her friends ( male ) come and forcibly coax her to dance in a friendly manner, holding her hands, which sends Karan into a frenzy, and unable to control his anger, he hits out at the person. Diya takes him away, while Shaurya picks the guy up, and assures and comforts him. All are tensed. Chiku is meanwhile flirting away with his latests fling.
At Urmi’s residence, Urmi makes Ishaani’s favourite dessert, that she has been eating for 11 years and is her favourite, oblivious of the fact that Urmi makes it, and believeing that Rani makes it for her, as otherwise she would detest it and never eat. Urmi asks Rani to ensure that she doesn't find out this time too. Rani complies as told. As Urmi takes her apron off, she is confronted by Damini who asks her why is she fighting for a lost cause. Urmi says that she will continue to do so, as she is her Ishaan’s daughter. Damini gets angry and says that it isn't her Ishaan, but his mother’s Ishaan. They yet again enter into a scuffle, where Damini keeps hurling accusations at her, while Urmi listens to them resignedly out of respect.
Later, Diya comes to meet Urmi, on her request, where she gets a gift from Urmi, for her outstanding work. Shaurya comes and taunts her about her pending work, and she retorts that she has already finished. Shaurya leaves saying that he has a party to go to, and asks his mother Urmi to ensure that Ishaani doesn't enter her room, as he is surprisingly getting it redecorated for her, the way she wanted it, and asks his grandma Damini and his mom Urmi not to disclose it to her. Damini is alarmed.
At Gaurav’s residence, Chiku and Asha have a hard time, adapting to Nupur’s crude ways and are amused. Gaurav keeps hoping and trying that her past doesn't spring up in any conversation. When Asha and Chiku are gone, he requests her not to say anything about her past to anyone, and when she realises that he is requesting and nor ordering her, she agrees.
At Cremation grounds, As Shaurya sits, he still finds it difficult to cope with Ishaan's death as he is haunted by memories of the past and his fathers, and their stark differnece. The priest comes there and asks him that he seems restless yet again. Shaurya says that this is his destiny for life now. The priest asks him to confide his life’s deepest mysteries and secrets to someone to feel lighter but Shaurya says that he is in this alone for life, and will have to deal with it.
At Urmi’s residence, while Diya and Urmi chat, Ishaani comes out asking for juice and stuff from Damini and then hollers at Urmi asking who gave her the right to tamper with her bedroom, when Urmi suggests a shift of her room just for a day. She behaves extremely rude, and this irks Diya, who stands up and reminds her that this isn't the way to speak with her own mother. Ishaani is irked and looks very angry.
