He finds Diya sitting in front of the idol, lost and helpless. Shaurya wrenches her hand, and asks what nonsense is this, without telling anyone, she came here, and he is searching around for her like mad in the whole city. He takes her hand and turns her around, asking her to come. She says that she won't. He is surprised, as he looks back at her, and asks her not to be childish. She says why and with what right will she go with, in his house. She says that she is just his employee, and nothing else, and in that capacity, she says that she doesn't have any right beyond the house, and especially not in his house, then by what right and relation should she go with him to his house. He is shocked and speechless to her question and also tensed too.
Diya further tells him that they have already done enough for her, and she can't take their help anymore, and hence she won't go. Shaurya asks what's her plan, and what will she do, and where would she stay. She asks him to leave her alone, as everybody deserted her, then why do they want to support, and that she won't cause them anymore trouble. He hollers at her not to go then, and that she shouldn't think that he will leave if she asks him to. She eyes him with bewilderment and shock. He says that she needn't stay there with him, if she doesn't want to, but to give him a few days so that he finds out another accommodation for her. She agrees. He takes her hand and moves out of the temple.
At Urmi’s residence, Damini continues to vent out her frustration against Diya, that by going out in the middle of the night, she is inviting men herself, prancing around the town alone. Anirudh asks her why does she always talk demeaning about Diya. Damini says that they are harsh words, as it's the cruel truth, which they can't handle. She says that she is least bothered as she doesn't care if Diya is alive or dead, and then says that she is retiring for the night. She gets up to leave. Just then, Urmi calls out Diya’s name as she see that Shaurya brings Diya home. Shaurya gets Diya, with her hand in his, while Damini turns around surprised, that her barbed comments at Diya didn't work, and she still came back with Shaurya. All are relieved to see her back. Ishaani rushes to Diya, and then asks where had she gone, as they had all gone incredibly worried, and asks how can she go like this. She asks Diya to never do this again, or else she would lock her in her own room. Diya smiles to her and stands with her head hung low. Ishaani hugs Diya, pleasantly surprising Shaurya, Anirudh and Urmi. Damini however is shocked and in a rage as it is Ishani who welcomes her first.
Outside, Shaurya catches hold of Karan, and taunts him that he didn't realise his drama would end so soon. He goes inside, while Karan stops him, and then tells him to mind his business and stop talking nonsense. Karen proudly says that his Diya is just a little angry and after some days, she would be back. Shaurya says that Diya is no more his, and secondly, she saw his true face, and would never come back. He asks him not to step foot in the house again. Karan says that he too is taking advantage of the situation. Shaurya reminds him that it was he who got the media, wanting footage. He finally asks Karan to get lost. Karan asks him to stay in his limits. Shaurya and Karan get into a verbal heated argument, and then Shaurya asks him not to waste his time and get lost. Karan resignedly leaves.
Damini goes to Ishaani’s room, while she tries on dresses. Damini asks Ishaani what's wrong, and why the sudden change of behaviour towards Diya. Ishaani says that she isn't pretending, and she actually cares for her, and needs their support. Damini again continues to instigate her against Diya, Shaurya and Urmi. She asks how Shaurya cleared the entire misunderstanding, and is actually looking for a house for Diya too. Damini says that he successfully managed to brain wash her too but Ishaani is unconvinced. Damini realises that she is loosing control of Ishani and. blurts out that her plan in getting Diya out failed. Ishaani asks if she threw her out. Damini blatantly blurts out her actions. Ishaani is shocked and asks why. She says that she can't see Ishaani tensed. Ishaani says that she isn't tensed at all, and it was just a misunderstanding. She asks her grandma Damini to promise her that she won't bother Diya. Damini says that she won't, and they should now gear up to bear Diya for life. Ishaani assures her that this won't happen, and asks her not to overthink as this won't happen. She leaves. Damini is furious. She turns around to find Urmi, who confronts her saying that today this is proven that Ishaani is her daughter, and maybe she continues to poison her mind, but her moral values and rights do show up at the right time, and that she knows humanity and love, and that a mother won today. She leaves, while Damini is furious.
Downstairs, Shaurya and Urmi study the medical reports, when Sandhya asks what's the update. They say that they have caught the rapists and got the medical confirmation too, and now a chargesheet has to be filed, after which the case can start. Anirudh comes there and says that he has decided on the lawyer too, for Diya’s case, who is the best in town. They are hopeful. Sandhya hopes that Diya gets justice soon. Shaurya says that it isn't that simple. Anirudh and Sandhya asks what's the matter, as the case is crystal clear. He tells them that in rape cases, the victim can't hire a lawyer. They are boggled. Urmi says that rape cases are state cases, and the state offers a lawyer. Anirudh asks what if they don't like the person. Shaurya and Urmi point out the irony, that the victim doesn't have any choice, while the rapists can afford the best and the brightest, limiting the rape victims’ options. Urmi points out that they are highly meagrely paid too. Anirudh gets upset saying that they have no impetus like money also to work for, and hence would be least interested. Anirudh says that they would do mere formality. Shaurya says that they are also tensed for this only, concerned about efectivity and sincerity of the lawyer that they get. They are worried.
At Urmi’s residence, Shaurya comes to Diya’s room, and finds her upset, and then asks if she ate anything. She denies. He tries to talk, that he knows she must have been hurt, as it pains a lot when she is betrayed by the person she love, and that she must be grieving right now, but she has to look past it, and move on, forgetting about the past. She says that what happened was good, as she realised that last night, and how wrong she was. She says that she had become unpractical with Karan, and had become personally obsessed with Karan, and had unrealistic expectations from him. Diya says that she had gotten very selfish. She says that come to think of it, he is right in his spot. She says that it's big that Karan stands against the society atleast to meet her, but she can't expect him to marry her, after the gruesome incident that she went through. Shaurya becomes angry and asks what's this society that she speaks of, in which thousands of people support a terrorist, but no-one stands beside a rape victim to support her. He asks how can a capable, strong journalist and reporter like her talk like this. She says that she is right and that Karan has all the right to not ruin his life. He asks if she doesn't have the right, and that no-one has the right to look down upon her, and asks her to fight for herself, and set an example in the society. He says that whenever she weakens, he wont allow it. She eyes him endearingly.
On the other hand, Damini is advised by Anirudh, pointing out the recent change of good nature in Ishaani, who not only mended things with Shaurya, but also took a liking to Diya and actually likes her being here. He asks her to stop this evil plots, as they are of no use, and let the whole family flourish together. But she is unfazed as she says that she doesn't care for his advise, and will cotninue to do what she is doing, as Ishaani is a child, and gets swayed easily, but as an adult, she knows what's in Ishaani’s best interests. Anirudh is tensed. Just then, Urmi comes in giving them the good news, that Diya’s case has been filed and the first hearing is tomorrow. Shaurya comes there and hears intently too as the day of Diya's court case is approaching. Anirudh asks the name of the government lawyer they got. Urmi names some Karmakar, and Anirudh says that he vaguely knows, as Ishaani used to speak about her, and they all hope that she turns out to be an efficient public lawyer. He asks her if she had a talk, but she says that she got the number, and tried it too, but no-one is picking and it's not going through. They are tensed. Anirudh asks them to keep trying. They agree.
Later, while everyone is working, Shaurya gets a call, from one of his employee reluctant to take a particular interview. He gets frustrated that no-one is willing to take this interview. Ishaani gets interested and asks whose interview is it. He names the recent heartthrob of Bollywood. She goes all gaga, and points out how arrogantly the star always shuts anyone who goes to talk to him, and no wonder all fear interviewing him. Shaurya says that Diya would have been the perfect person to interview him, and was scheduled too, but then things changed. Ishaani says that she knows one more person. He asks if she is talking about her, seeing her interest. She says that she won't be able to, but he himself can. He understands that she wants him to go and take her along to meet the star. She happily agrees. Anirudh and Urmi are amused. Shaurya denies to Ishaani, and she cribs why can't that happen. Anirudh and Urmi side with Ishaani when she asks of this as her Rakhi gift. Shaurya finally gives in happily but Damini doesn't like it.
In her room, Urmi talks about Diya’s genuine concerns downstairs, regarding the case. Suddenly, she says that they have one idea, and that's to present an eye witness, that would strengthen their case. He is boggled. She says that Karan will have to testify, and Shaurya’s face drops down, as he remembers slapping him and throwing him out of his house, the earlier day. He says that he won't do this, and Urmi asks why, as he fought for is with the goons, and has stood by Diya in such a severe situation and trying times. Unable to hide it any longer, Shaurya exposes the true face of Karan to his mother, narrating everything to her, and Karan’s motives for his deeds. Urmi is shocked to know of Karan’s reality, and wonders how he is so shameless, and then says that these men are responsible for the downfall of women. He asks what to do now. She says that they would have to get him in the court now. He says that he is a spoilt brat. She says that they would have to get him, as if they fail, they will fail the case too. He is tensed. She says that they have to fight and win this case for Diya’s sake and gives him the responsibility to get Karan to the court the next day anyhow. She leaves. He is tensed as there is still there is no evidence, and just one eye witness.
At Karan’s residence, while working out, Karan thinks that Diya got angry at him at the wrong time, as his efforts would have reaped benefit now of all times, but she got upset, as soon as the court case will begin, which will mean massive media coverage at all times, which he can capitalise to his advantage, and after his work is done and he has extracted the full profit of the situation, he would go the other way. He thinks that he will use this case to become a famous star, and obviously after becoming a hotshot actor, he wouldn't even dream of marrying a raped girl. They would go their own ways, without him giving a damn about Diya.
The next morning at Urmi's residence, Urmi gives everyone the puja blessings, and Diya steps down, beaming, as Urmi does the tilak, and they all support her. Urmi says that she understands her nervousness, but she should know that they all will stand by her side always. Diya says that she knows she has their support, but she misses her parents. They get tensed. Sandhya assures her that they too are like her family. Urmi too complies. Anirudh blesses her too, saying that she should just be strong and confident, as it's not her fight alone, as its everyone’s fight now. Shaurya comes down, as he says that they will fight it together now. Diya is overwhelmed to see their support. Ishaani too supports her. Diya smiles. Damini doesn't like it. Urmi says that they should leave now, as they have to meet the lawyer. She asks Shaurya to get Karan to the court. Diya is tensed to hear this and asks why Karan. Urmi tells her that Karan is the eyewitness, and its of extreme importance that he is present in the court today.
At Karan’s residence, as Karan is all ready to go out, the doorbell rings, and he opens the door surprised to find shaurya standing, who eyes him tensedly. He taunts Shaurya as to what good luck he has that Shaurya has come to his doorstep, and asks if he didn't insult him enough. Shaurya says that he didn't come here to fight or insult him, but needs to talk. Karan is amused and says that he is surprised how humble he speaks to him today. Shaurya says that he doesn't have much time, as it's Diya’s first hearing in the court in the next half an hour. Shaurya tells Karan that he needs his tesimony and presence in the court today, for Diya’s case. Karan taunts him that that's the reason for him to do such a humble discourse in front of her. Shaurya asks if they can go right now and talk later. Karan says that they can go later too then. Shaurya dryly asks what he wants and what should he do. Karan eyes him evilly, as an evil idea engulfs his mind, saying that this is a good question. He asks him to apologise, for the insult and the slap, and his attitude.
