Tuesday Update On Modern Homemaker Episode 21 - 22

Next day morning, Sunaina Devi performs prayers with everyone in the family present except Sona and Kanhaiya as Sunaina Sings Bhajan.

Darshana talks to Bindiya on how his mummy is interested in Sona’s salary and laughs which Sunaina tells Darshana not to laugh and continue praying. Suddenly the house phone rings and everyone stops singing and looks at the ringing phone. Sunaina asks why everyone stops singing? The prayers will not be complete and Sunaina goes to answer the phone. Sona joins the pooja and starts showing aarti. Sunaina answers the call and it's turn out to be Sona’s Daadi asking if she can speak to Sona. Sunaina laughs saying why not? She need to thank her for this relationship and Daadi again says she wants to speak to Sona. Sunaina says she is now doing Pooja and Daadi ends the call. Daadi calls again while Sona is doing some housework and Daadi asks if she can speak to Sona.

Sunaina says her Sona is now sweeping the house, she will end the call and cuts the call. Sona is now shown cooking and Daadi calls again and asks if she can speak to Sona now and Sunaina says Sona is not resting since she is a housewife and they have to keep doing work. She is cooking now and she can’t speak, Suhnaina again ends the call. After a few hours, Daadi calls again while Sona is shown taking the clothes to put for washing and Daadi says that Sunaina’s voice is like Lata Mangeshkar and asks if she can call Sona with her sweet voice? Sunaina says Sona is now putting the clothes for washing and ends the call again and Sunaina then says that Sona’s Daadi should know what it is like to be the Daadi for a housewife that she can’t even speak to her grandaughter. Sona is washing the dishes and Sunaina is speaking on the phone asking if she can hear anything? Sona's Daadi misses a conversation with Sona over the phone as Sona stays busy in performing her household chores.

Sona is now washing the dishes, she starts singing a song while Daadi ends the call. Sona is going upstairs when Suhnaina tells Sona, why is she doing so much of work that she don’t get time to even speak to her Daadi? Sona is surprised and asks when did her Daadi called? Sunaina Devi says not once but many times, she again says many times but she was so busy in the housewife work that she didn’t listen. She tells Sona that she somehow managed to bring back a gas cylinder and cook for daughter-in-law test and she understand that she can do the housework very good and that in fact she can do any work very well. She then tells her to listen to her, that when she is so good, why did she want to leave her job and stay at home? Sona reply that she is just trying to be like her referring to her mother in-law. Suhnaina ask why like her? Sona says she is always worried about the house, she also want to be worried about the house and ladies these days can manage both the outside and the home but she want to manage the house and correct things first and then go handle things outside. Sunaina asks if it means she is not going back to work. Sona says she will and tells her to let her handle things in this house and correct them first.

Sunaina is angry with Sona decision. Just then, the house phone rings and Sunaina inform Sona that her Daadi is calling again and she will need to pick up the call since she is busy. Sunaina picks the call and Sona's Daadi, who visits the Chaturvedi residence says the voice is coming from outside as it's live telecast. Both Sunaina and Sona are shocked seeing Daadi standing in front of them. Sona hugs her Daadi and asks how she is and welcomes her inside. Daadi says she came here live telecast not for her but for Sunaina and tells Sona to go and do her work since she have a lot of work to do. Sona says she will spend two minutes with her and her Daadi remind her that time doesn’t wait for anyone, and again tells her to do her work. Sona then says she will make coffee for her. Sona’s Daadi asks Sunaina if she made relationship with her family for this? She gave her Sona (Gold) and she is treating her like this? Daadi also says all this house work can be done if she pay someone and suggests Sunaina Devi to hire a house maid in order to perform household chores and also release Sona from the pressure of being a housewife.

Sunaina thanks Daadi and asks why didn’t she tell her and gets happy. Daadi says she is now here and she didn’t allow her to speak to her granddaughter and Daadi leaves. Bindiya is talking to Darshana saying she is trying to understand Sona that she is really great. Darshana asks what is it about? Bindiya reply her sister in-law if he saw how she managed to cook for everyone after the gas cylinder problem and Darshana defers. Neelam comes with drinks and Bindiya remains firm saying that Sona had pass and Mummy had failed while Neelam smiles. She keep praising Sona that she is really great. Darshana asks if she is becoming her supporter? Sona brings coffee and asks if her Daadi had left? Sunaina inform her that her Daadi had completed the work she came for and now is her time referring to herself. She tells her son Kanhaiya, to come to her room. Darshana, who is still upset with what her brother did to her husband tells Bindiya that Sona is just a reporter. Bindiya says no, what she is saying is true and being a housewife is not easy. Neelam comes to Bindiya saying if she feel that Sona is doing a good job, she should thank her and when she knows that she was praising her, she would feel happy. Hearing this, Bindiya panics and asks who was praising her? Darshana adds that this is supposed to be a housewife’s work where Sona made use of her reporter experience. She adds that this is just the start, she tells her to wait and see what else happens.

Neelam tried to defend Sona and says it's not like that but Sona wants to be a housewife and look after everything in the house. She further says that what Sona is doing is done by every housewife and she is really proud of her today. Even she is feeling very proud to be a housewife. Sunaina tell Kanhaiya that he does not worry about her and to imagine how it looks when he and Sona leave to work together that it would look like a movie poster with Salman and Katrina. Kanhaiya teases his mother about movie posted and Suhnaina slaps him as she feel he is making jokes of her. Sunaina asks if he know how proud she will be if she go out where people would say her son is a police man and her daughter in-law is a reporter. Kanhaiya tells his mother that she don’t know what he is going through. Sunaina Devi further orders Kanhaiya to influence Sona's decision to rejoin her office and secondly, to make Sona understand what the state of a housework is. She also asks him to hire a house maid for their residence. Kanhaiya says he will find a good servant and he leaves. Sunaina Devi then talk to herself that she will see if Sona can now compete with a servant with salary.

Kanhaiya informs Sona about his mother's order, to hire a maid for the house and inform Sona to rejoin her office. He then leaves for police station. Sona understands that her mother in-law wants to explain to her that a housewife position in a house is similar to a maid but sona decides to change her mother in-law’s opinion. In police station Kanhaiya asks the constables to search for a maid within 2 hours. Durgesh gets a makeover from Bindiya and hides his wounds. Sunaina gives all responsibility of her works to Sona and Sona decide to do something to make her mother in-law realize that housewives should be duely respected. Neelam and Sona discuss Sunaina Devi's ploy to hire a maid. Neelam supports Sona to fight her battle of retaining her position as the housewife of the family and wonders as what Sona will do now as she will take care of their mother in-law and maid will do the works of the house.

Neelam is doing the sweater when Sona comes to her and asks if she is making a sweater for her husband? Neelam says no as he doesn’t needs one. Sona then asks for who is this? Neelam says it's for Darshana as she had given her the task to do it. Sona asks if her heart doesn't tells her to do for her husband Udham? Neelam says her heart did and that she have also did 5 sweaters for him but he doesn’t even likes one of the sweater she made for him and doesn’t likes anything she make. Neelam then shares her sadness with Sona of the missing bond between herself and her husband and asks Sona, if there is anything less with her? Sona assured her that there is nothing less in her but there is something wrong in between both of them and asks if she have tried to find out? Neelam says she had tried before but she can never know what is in his mind as he left for his duty without saying anything. She further tells Sona if she knows that he only returned after 2 years for Kanhaiya’s wedding. Sona is surprised to hear this while Neelam says she can’t understand him.

After listening to her, Sona says there is a need to find out what is wrong and maybe there is something in Udham’s mind that he is staying away from her for a purpose? Neelam says she wonder for that? Sona then asks her to tells her, how was things before her marriage? She asks Neelam if he know her before the wedding? Neelam decline and further says that their wedding had problems as they could not give much money. She tells Sona that Chacha (Sunaina's brother in-law) know her father and he made this relationship and the next day her mother in-law came and fixed their wedding. She adds that she now remember something, that her husband didn’t liked the wedding and he only wanted to get married after two years. She then asks if anyone can go against mummy (Sunaina Devi)? Their wedding takes place and perhaps the punishment is for that. Sona encourage her that she need to fix things right and take out any problems she have in her heart and not to keep it a secret from her husband. Sona further tells her that she need to make a space for herself in Udham's heart.

Neelam tells Sona that now that she is here, Sona will have to help her to do it. Chicku is thinking while Dimple comes to him. Chicku tells Dimple he wonder how the gas cylinder they brought became empty. Dimple says the problem was over since Sona and Kanhaiyya found solution to it. Chicku says he is still wondering how can it finish since they checked before bringing it. They both see Darshana eating and wondering if they can get some hint from Darshana. Cheeku then decide to gets to the bottom of things to finds out who was behind the gas cylinder scandal. Cheeku asks Darshana what time she sleep. Darshana asks if he is trying to be a CID? Dimple says she only want to know how the gas they brought finished. Darshana says she is not involved in anything and they decide to find out by other way. Durgesh is reading a book when Chicku comes to Durgesh and asks who the hanuman in the family to solve the problems? Durgesh says it's him and as Chicku keeps asking questions, Durgesh keeps saying it's him after taking the commission and Chicku’s last question asks who finished the gas they brought and Durgesh blunt out that it was him after taking the commission.

Chicku and Dimple smiles while Durgesh admits he did it after taking money from his mother in-law Sunaina and they leave. Renu’s husband (Manoha) talks angry on the phone angry while Bindiya’s husband tells him not to talk with anger with him. A lawyer then walks in and both of them ask who he is in which the lawyer says Durgesh asked him to come here. Both of them laugh for the lawyer calling Durgesh sir. Both of them tease the lawyer and calls Durgesh. Sunaina comes to meet Chameli, her friend and her friend asks why she come over? Sunaina tells her friend that she needs a servant for her house. Chameli asks why she needed one when she has two housewives. Sunaina says they will no longer be housewife and she is going to send them to work and she urgently needs a servant. Chameli advises that servants are not good and there are news of some servants murdering for money and running away with the money. She adds that it’s really hard to get a good new servant. A desperate Sunaina asks why she is scaring her.
