Friday Update On Modern Homemaker Episode 28 - 29

Read the update on the new series Modern Homemaker episode 28-29 for Friday, December 20 showing on Zee World.

The Chaturvedi's new housemaid informs Sunaina Devi to start her duties from the next day and not from today as today she have to get all the payments from the previous house and then bid farewell to them.

She then tells Sunaina not to worry as Laxmi will now be here. Tomorrow all the work in this house will be done on time and them that she is leaving with a Namaste greeting. Suniaya says okay and tells Sona that from tomorrow she won't have any excuse of having to clean the house. She leaves. Slowly everyone leaves except Sona and Kanhiaya. Kanhiaya tells his wife if she sees that there's a reason they always say that their mummy is always right and what she said is absolutely right. Sona disagrees with him and make him understand that his mummy has made the responsibilities of a housewife even more now.

Darshana's husband Durgesh tells Darshana, that the maid whom Kanhiaya brought was so full of life and fun and that she was also saying she wouldn't come to work today, but would come the next day. Darshana asks so what? She reminds him that even him had brought home a maid but he spoiled everything. Sona comes with tea and biscuits. Kanhaiya goes over to Darshana's husband and lifts his lefts up. He tries to find out what happened? Sona asks what is he looking for? Kanhiaya says it fell, it fell. Sona says she just swept the floor and asks him to tell her what he is looking for. Kanhiaya says exactly as he don't know where it fell and maybe it went with all the trash that was swept away. Sona again asks him to tell her what fell down as she will also look for it. Kanhiaya tells Darshana that she is messing with a police officer and that her nose is right here. He pulls on her nose. Darshana then tell him that she won't spare him since he find time right now to joke around with her. They all are having a mini pillow fight. Darshana hits Kanhaiya that she won't spare him. Kanhiaya asks if she is not embarrassed raising her hands on a police officer in uniform? Darshana reminds him that he is only a police officer at the police station and not here. Kanhiaya jokly threaten her not to mess so much with a police officer. He adds that the day a maid comes into this house, everyone's tension will be gone and no one's nose will be cut either.

Upstairs, Neelam's husband insults Neelam in front of the Chaturvedis for her small mistake and says it won't make a difference to her whether his nose is cut or something else and asks if he should wear this and go? Seeing that she is silent, an upset Uddham asks if she is out of her mind? Neelam says she didn't know he is going to wear an uniform and go and it was dirty so she put it in the water to wash. He says one day she should put his reputation in the wash too and whether he get a court martial in the military or not he don't know, but in this house he certainly will. He asks if she have fun in bothering him. Neelam asks why he is speaking like that. She tries to explain to him that she always but interrupts her that she always comes in the way and before doing anything he has to move her out of the way.

Kanhaiya says if a housewife makes an agreement like a maid does, then it will be so difficult. Sona, who witnesses a disturbing incident between Uddham and Neemal says Neelam didn't make such a big mistake that Uddham is scolding her so much for it. Kanhiaya tells Sona that all of this happens in the house and that its between husband and wife. He adds that it happens between a husband and wife, sometimes it's hot and sometimes cold. Sona tells him not like this in front of everyone. Kanhiaya then says they are not fighting in public and everyone in the house are their family and no one is from outside. Neelam calmly tells her husband that it won't happen again and asks him to forgive her this time as it doesn't look good where everyone is looking and that he can punish her in whatever way he want, but and suggest him to lets them go and talk in the room. He asks why in the room? Why not in front of everyone? He tells her that everyone here knows what she is for him and for everyone else, she is only a housewife. Uddham comes down the stairs and leaves. Sona says he didn't do the right thing and he shouldn't have scolded her that much.

Kanhiaya again tells Sona all of this happens here and asks her not to take so much tension. Sona shakes her head in disagreement and leaves. He immediately follows her upstairs. They both head towards Neelam. Neelam notices Sona and asks Sona if she need anything? Sona wipes her tears and asks if Uddham's attitude will change. She then encourages her not to lose hope. Neelam tells Sona not to think too much as this is a daily thing to her. Kanhiaya asks his sister-in-law why is she so worried. He tried to speak in favour of his his brother that he is in the military and that's why he is like this. He adds that in his (referring to himself ) childhood he got scolded a lot and his brother used to pull his ears a lot. But since he's her husband, he is lovable towards her. Sona is not confused and says he shouldn't have insulted her in front of everyone. Kanhiaya says it's between husband and wife and they will sort it out between themselves. He adds that there is a good saying that love is found in being angry and then apologizing to one another. The love will grow and they will settle it between themselves and ask her not to worry. He then tells Neelam to smile a little. She smiles a little. Kanhiaya then tells Sona to feed her something and he will go and check on his brother, Uddham. Kanhaiya leaves. Sona assured Neelam everything will be okay. They both hug each other.

Kanhiaya goes to Uddham, he tells if he is in the military, he can be mad when he is on the border but to talk at home with love. Uddham tells Kanhiaya that he is grown up now and reminds him he is not that grown up that he start explaining things to his elder brother. Kanhiaya tried to convince him that he is not explaining but he is only making him feel better. He tells him that he scold his sister-in-law Neelam and scared her but he know that he smile at his words in a small corner. He asks if he won't laugh. He shakes his head as no. Kanhaiya then asks if he remember when he was angry with him during their childhood. Where he take an insect and put it down his shirt and when he found out he moved so crazily. Hearing this, he laughs recalling the past. Udhaam and Kanhiaya hug.

Darshana's husband says in the first round he have lost as the maid turned out to be someone's mother. And that in the 2nd round he have to win no matter what. Darshana says making lies will have no affect and if it happens without any problems then she will believe him. She then asks how many goals is he going to make. She tells him to start counting from now as he will be made a football. He asks how she can talk like that to a respected man. Darshana asks what he meant that she can't talk like that. And to accept it when he is wrong. They argue a bit back and forth.

Dimple tells "Mr. Allahbad that she will meet him online and he can meet her online too. And that he will never find out where she will be found." He replies back that he only talked to her because she is his fan and she want to know something about the beauty contest. They talk back and forth for a bit and he is willing to help her. She is still tying when the guy who is after her calls. Her sister comes there and informs her that their father is coming. Kanhaiya's friend says no hello or hi and no bye while leaving? He then says strange.

Sunaina is putting down how much the costs of things in the house are and also worries about the increase cost to pay for the maid. Sunaina laments that they have two housewives, Neelam and Sona and yet she need to bring a maid just because of what is happening. Gyaneshwar and Neelam suggests about the housemaid to be a burden for her. Neelam asks what is the need of a maid when she here? Gyaneshwar tells her that Neelam is right and they do not need a maid for the house and he don’t understand why he is doing this. But, Sunaina Devi refuses to their advice and says Sona is influencing Neelam and due to that, they now need to spend more for a maid. Gyaneshwar tries to say something but Sunaina interrupts him saying his work is only to make Sona understand and go back to work. Gyaneshwar asks why doesn’t she see how the maid does works first and then decide about Sona going back to work. Sunaina asks if he thinking about her or for Sona? She adds that any maid does better work than a housewife.

Suhnaina then calls out to everyone and the whole family arrives at the living hall. She says she’ve already told them and she is saying it again that they are now going to have a servant and they are paying her 5000 Rupees. She is now going to do all the work and to pay her, each family will need to pay 1000 Rupees and hearing this, and everyone is shocked. Durgesh starts counting his fingers and tried to tells her that the maid salary is only 5000 Rupees and points out that she will be getting 6000 Rupees if each family takes out 1000 Rupees and there will be extra 1000 Rupees left. Sunaina explain in his tone that the 1000 Rupees will be used as commission as it's not easy to run a family and if everyone understand? She warn them that each family must pay 1000 Rupees and leaves leaving them speechless. Sona enters her room and sees Kanhaiya on the bed; she asks what he want to eat for breakfast the next day. Kanhaiya asks is she asking about tomorrow’s breakfast now. He tells her to leave about tomorrow and think about now.

Sona tried to explain him that a housewife must wake up early to do the house work but Kanhaiya asks her to just think of him and holds Sona’s hands saying he feel so bad without her. Sona feel shy looking at him where both of them are lost in thoughts. Sona and Kanhaiya are shocked when they suddenly hear a sound and hears Sunaina’s voice shouting what happened. Bindiya's daughter Julie says nothing but her father fell down. Sona hear this and leaves the room while Kanhaiya talk to himself to let him fall as he will wake up again. He adds that this happens in this house and gets sad seeing that Sona leave the room even at this time and that that his brother Govardhan had to fall right at this time. He wonders is kind of fate and goes to sleep. The next day morning, Neelam is doing the morning prayers alone singing song while Udham comes to Neelam and calls her. Neelam takes the aarti plate and goes to him, he asks if have started saregama in the morning itself and asks if she bother to serve her husband cofee? Neelam asks if he brushed his teeth since he have come to the mandir (praying house). Udham says yes. Neelam then give him prasad (offering ) first, while she go and make a good cofee for him. Udham says alright. Neelam gives the prasad to her mother-in-law and Suhnaina says it's good that she keep praying to god but she must also do the work she have given her in which Neelam says she will do it. Suhnaina tells him to go and do it now. Udham orders Neelam to listen to what his mother said and Neelam leaves. Darshana comes to Renu’s room while Renu is preparing the list of work for the maid of the house to do. Darshana says she have also prepared her list.

Renu thinks that the maid also carried a pendrive which means she can also help her (Renu) to do some work while both of them start planning on the work to give the new maid to do. The milkman arrives and Renu asks Darshana to check out. While Sunaina is waiting for the maid’s arrival, she thinks to herself that she never waited for anyone and she have to wait for the maid now. Renu brings the list of work for the maid and walks into her mother-in-law Sunaina. Renu says that today is the first day for the maid and she is still not here yet.

The maid arrives and Sunaina tells the maid to go inside and start work. The maid say she has just arrived, Sunaina asks her to check the time as she came late and tells her to go and do the work. The maid on her very first day refuses to work, but she can start work today by doing drinks first and will do the other works tomorrow. Sunaina asks why tomorrow? She reminds the maid that she told her yesterday that she is starting work today? Laxmi admit that she said it but today there is an association meeting and she happens to be the secretary for it. She further says they have a lot of decision to make today and she need to leave for the meeting and Laxmi leaves. Gyaneshwar taunts his sister-in-law Sunaina that her maid is so busy that she even forgot to make drinks for them. Sunaina tells him not to get tension as she knows he can’t wait to have a drink from her and tells him to wait for another day. Udham brings his clothes for washing and Govardan asks from where he is bringing the clothes. Udham replied that he want the maid who has made them signed the agreement to do this work.

Both Govardan and Udham plans on how they both will give her work to do. Sunaina comes to her room while Neelam is wiping the cupboard, Neelam asks if the maid came and an upset Sunaina shout why is she asking her about this? She orders her to do her own work and that she is there to take care of the maid. A concern Neelam says she was worried for her as she would not have taken anything without the maid coming. Sunaina looks at her and says if she is really so worried for her mummy (Sunaina), then to go and do something for her. Neelam leaves and turns back asking if she can make halwa. Sunaina angrily stares at Neelam and Neelam leaves silently realizing that her mother-in-law is angry. Govardan, Udham, Darshana and Renu are preparing work for the maid holding the clothes and documents and Kanhaiya asks why are they holding this and waiting for whom? Renu asks what is he asking about. Darshana asks if he have forgotten. She reminds him that the maid is coming today and they have prepared work for the maid. Kanhaiya asks if they all have prepared to welcome the maid and starts singing song ‘Aayegi Kaam Wali’. Just then, they hear Sunaina's voice saying that the maid is not coming but she came and she left again. Everyone is shocked and Darshana asks how can she leave? Govardan and Udham question their mother why didn’t she inform them earlier? A furious Sunaina tells them to stop it, saying all her cats are now shouting back at her? She asks if all of this is because of the maid. Sunaina, who realises that her actions might result in problems instead of solutions declare that they will all be punished for it. Sunaina Devi hence announces the family to perform all their individual work by themselves and all the work that they had prepared with love for the maid will be done by them without any help. Hearing this, Darshana, Renu, Udham and Govardan are shocked.

Uddham is tired of washing so many clothes while Neelam is folding the clothes and asks him why he wished to give so many clothes to Laxmi. Uddham says that he wanted to give good training to laxmi for doing household works. The Chaturvedis get tired of performing their individual household chores. Even Renu is tired and discusses with her brother-in-law Govardhan.

Laxmi comes and asks Neelam for broom, Neelam asks her to firstly go to the kitchen and wash the dirty dishes and then prepare breakfast as it's time for everyone to wake up. Laxmi says that she knows how to handle everything and goes for cleaning. Laxmi in hurry cleans up the rooms touching all makeup products, making use of Sunaina’s towel for cleaning her sweat and focusing on Sunaina's bangles with bad intentions. While in the kitchen too she eats bread and butter with tea without in front of anyone. Later, Laxmi gets a phone call for going somewhere and she pretends to Sunaina that his son is sick and she is in hurry for leaving home and asks for Neelam’s help for preparing Chappatis. Sunaina permits her.

Everyone is excited for the lunch and all they got to eat was a bad flovoured food with no salt in mix veg, no tadka in dal, half cooked rice and burnt Chappatis. Everyone dislikes it and leaves eating. In the meantime Sona relishes the mood of the Chaturvedis after the maid prepares tasteless food at the dinner. Sona goes and prepares Kheer for everyone and serves them. Neelam is surprized as to when Sona prepared it and Sunaina feels good but doesn’t says it. Everyone enjoys the kheer and appreciates it as it is made like the one in a hotel. Sunaina scolds Neelam as she didn’t take care inside the kitchen when she permitted her to work with Laxmi and food wastage is done and asks her to take care of this in future.

Kanhaiya is getting ready for police station when Sona comes in, Kanhaiya offers her a saree, he takes out her purse and offer to drop her at the office. Kanhaiya is infront of mirror when Sona is in mood to make Kanhaiya listen to him holding him from back. Seeing this, Kanhaiya is overjoyed with her touch. Sona asks him why he works and he says for food. Sona then asks what is the use of earning if one does not get a proper meal to eat as that it is so unfair. Kanhaiya tried to says something but Sona hugs him in order to stop him from saying anything. Kanhaiya is overjoyed with her touch to no extent. Sona tells him that they earn to eat good and asks what if one does not eats well then she should be at home to look after until everything is well managed. Kanhaiya is ready to listen to her and says that she can join when she manages the home well. Sona is happy to hear this and comes out from Kanhaiya’s clutch and he is holding her back. Sona then asks Kanhaiya to leave for office.
