Prolific Actor cum film maker, Fred Amata emerged as the new President of Directors' Guild of Nigeria (DGN) in a keenly contested election in Asaba, Delta State this afternoon.
He was declared winner with 48 votes, while Lancelot got 43 votes. Also fellow contestants, Dickson Ireogbu and Kingsley Omoefe had 3 and 7 votes respectively.
Amata will be succeeding Andy Amenechi who resigned as the
president of the guild yesterday, Thursday, February 25.
