Forbes richest man in Africa, Aliko Dangote joins Twitter, get verified

The President cum CEO of Dangote Group and philanthropist, Aliko Dangote who was recently ranked by Forbes as the most powerful and richest man in Africa has joined the growing list of global CEOs on the Twitter with his verified account, @AlikoDangote.

The business mogul used his inaugural tweet to welcome everyone into the New Year and encouraged his followers to keep the conversation going.

He tweeted, “Glad to be on Twitter. Wishing you all a prosperous New Year. Stay positively committed to achieving your dreams, nothing is impossible” January 1, 2014.

Africa’s richest black man has since followed the official twitter account of his organization, @DangoteGroup and some of his billionaire entrepreneurs, philanthropist and global thought leaders including Bill Gates, Jeff Immelt, Jack Welch, Gordon and Sarah Brown.
