President Jonathan hosted the victorious
Golden Eaglets yesterday night in Abuja. In celebrating them, President
Goodluck Jonathan announced a cash reward of two million naira each for members
of the Golden Eaglets that won the recently concluded under 17 World Cup
championship.
The president Jonathan disclosed that
their victory was an indication that Nigeria was on the path of recovery in
international sports.
Also, members of the coaching crew were
given three million naira each by the president who described the victory of
the eagles as a pride to the nation and the continent. Also, assistant coach gets N2.5M while others get N500,000 and N300,000 respecticely.
