Actress Yvonne Okoro builds playground for underprivileged Children

Pretty Ghollywood actress, Yvonne Okoro recently celebrated her 29th birthday by commissioning a playground which she built for the underprivileged children at the Dzorwulu Special School in Accra.
The playground was commissioned by Honourable Deputy Minister for Education, Mr Samuel Okuzeto Ablakwa on November 25, 2013. Others present at the commissioning include actor John Dumelo, Sandra Ankobiah, Irene Logan, Roseline Okoro, ex-Black Stars skipper, Stephen Appiah among others. After which they joined her in cutting her birthday cake.

Wondering why she decided to build a playground for the children? She disclosed that, “ I was here two years ago and when I was leaving, I realized that the playground was in a deplorable state. The metals were all rusted. So I told myself that, I won’t stop till I’m able to provide a good recreational centre for the students of this school so that at the end of the day, they can also pride themselves of having a beautiful playground. That was the most important thing for me. And I want to thank everyone who supported this project.”
It is admirable that these days some celebrities mark their birthdays or do something worthy of note for the underprivileged instead of globe throttling or buying expensive things and showing them off on social media.
