After the successful hosting of the
fourth edition of Nigerian Broadcasters Nite (NBN) in Ibadan, the organizers
has announced that the monthly gig which is designed to further celebrate the
achievements of Nigerian broadcast industry as well as its practitioners, has
been suspended till 2014.
According to Kazeem Popoola, it is to
allow them prepare for the fourth edition of the yearly Nigerian Broadcasters
Merit Awards (NBMA) scheduled for November. The Nigerian Broadcaster’s Nite is
designed to hold every last Saturday of the month to host two of the winners of
the yearly Nigerian Broadcasters Merit Awards (NBMA) at one of the biggest
lounges/clubs in the country.
It would be recalled that Tosyn Bucknor (Top
FM Lagos), DJ ShyShy Shilon (Star FM Lagos), Denrele Edun (Channel O), Labi
Olayori (TVC),Uti Nwachukwu (African Magic) and Ronke Giwa of Splash FM are
past NBMA’s winners who have been celebrated at the Nigerian Broadcasters Nite.
