Tosyn Bucknor, Jimmy Jatt set for Nigerian Broadcaster’s Nite

Popular radio presenter and on-air-personality, Tosyn Bucknor has been voted in to become the first celebrity broadcaster to be hosted at the maiden edition of the Nigerian Broadcaster’s Nite (NBN); an event that is expected to further celebrate the achievements of the Nigerian broadcast industry as well as its practitioners.

The event, which was earlier set to hold and host celebrity VJ, Denrele Edun on February 28, was unavoidably rescheduled following the shocking demise of rising singer, Susan Harvey popularly known as Goldie; a very close associate of Denrele.
According to the organisers, the Nigerian Broadcaster’s Nite now holds on March 28 at one of the biggest lounges in Lagos, ‘Club Vegas;’ situated along the Sheraton – Opebi link Road in Ikeja.
As earlier planned, Nigeria’s most respected Disk Jockey; DJ Jimmy Jatt still occupies the seat of the event’s Special Guest and would be honoured with a special recognition award he won at the 2012 edition of the Nigerian Broadcasters Merit Awards (NBMA) in Lagos.
Tosyn Bucknor won NBMA’s ‘Most Popular Radio Presenter in 2011 and has assured that the NBN would live up to expectations in all ramifications.
The show kicks off with a red carpet by 6pm and NBN is powered by The Reality Entertainment in association with Club Vegas and Otunba Sesan Rufai’s Goldmyne Entertainment.
According to the founder, NBMA, Kazeem Popoola, the event has been tailored to hold every last Thursday of the month. “One of the winners from the NBMA gets selected and be hosted at one of the biggest lounges/clubs in the state,” he said
In addition, Popoola also noted that beyond the extensive celebration of the winner with loads of music and comedy, the event would also have a red carpet reception and an award of certificate to the winner to commemorate the NBMA plaque earlier won in 2012.
“We are giving this monthly gig a national appeal by taking it round all the states of the federation so that NBMA winners from other states would have the opportunity to be celebrated right in the cities where they are popular. The Nigerian Broadcasters Nite will be loaded with surprises and an elaborate coverage from the media.”
