John Dramani Mahama sworn in as Ghana's president

John Dramani Mahama, 53, was sworn in as Ghana' s president yesterday evening after the  sudden death of the incumbent president, John Evans Atta Mills after a prolonged battle with throat cancer.

Mr. Mahama use to be the vice president of Ghana. He is writer and historian. Mr. John Dramani Mahama recently toured the US to launch his autobiography.

  2. "Almighty" Nigerian Leaders should take a cue from Ghana on this issue. Ghana President died, the cause of death was made known and there was an immediate transition in Government. All these happened in less than 48hrs.
    Unlike what happened in the case of our former late president Umaru Musa Yar'adua, that for several months we Nigerians were kept in the dark about his health and many other things. I'm not sure his VP knew much about his latter days until his death. Food for Thought for concerned citizens. A view from iNaija
