I love short, skimpy clothes that show my legs -Vida Modelo

 Ebony-skinned Vida Modelo is a former model-turned producer. A woman of few but witty words, this Delta State-born fashionista, who returned to the country a few months ago, said she loves short, skimpy clothes that show her legs even though her style is simplicity.

How many movies have you produced?

I have produced three: Fears Untold, All for One and Face Value. They were all produced in Spain and I starred in the three movies.

What is style to you?

It is all about what you feel makes you happy.

What is your own kind of style?

My style is being simple - simplicity.

If you have to show off, what part of your body can you flaunt?

My legs I guess.

Why?

I love short, skimpy clothes that show my legs, so I guess my legs. I love more of short gowns. That is what I wear more.

 What clothing item would you not be caught dead in?

Hmmm… I don’t know. I am always comfortable in whatever I wear. But I am always in short clothes no matter what.

What is that fashion item you cannot do without as a woman?

My make-up, clothes and shoes, those are the things that make a woman. Really, I love shoes because if I have to flaunt my legs, the first thing people will see is my shoes. I love to wear pump heel. It makes me look elegant and classy.

Everybody has one fear or the other. What’s your own fear?

My greatest fear is flying, I hate flying. For almost three years I lived in the Canadian island in Spain so it is either you are on a ship or flight and I fly almost everyday. At a point in time, I missed a particular flight and that flight crashed so since then, my greatest fear is flying. That was when I decided to come back to Nigeria in 2008.

How do you like your make-up?

I like it flashy but simple

What is your best colour?

Green. I just love green and I am a Nigerian

What kind of jewelry do you love?

I love costumes; I am not the gold or silver kind of person. I do more of costumes. I love looking simple.

How do you love to carry your hair?

Whatever hairstyle I carry it must be very long be it braids, weave on or whatever. I don’t know how many inches but it must get to my butt.

How do you relax?

I stay at home watching movies with my family.

How would you describe yourself?

I am very simple but headstrong.

Philosophy of life?

Life is fun, fun is life so if music be the fun of life, let’s play on.

Who is your role model?

I have lots of them. But I love learning from everybody. I believe anybody who has anything to offer is my role model.  But I love Genevieve Nnaji, she is good. She is my kind of person, simple but unique.

I noticed that you have a nose ring on. Why?

I don’t do tattoos; I was a model back in Spain and there, they will ask you if you have a tattoo, a nose ring, leg chain or something to show that you are one. So, I had to start wearing a nose ring. I also wear a leg chain because I love it.

What is the misconception you think people have about you?

I don’t know because everybody says different things about Vida. Some say she is stubborn but everybody loves me because I am a giver. The thing about people is that they mix my dressing for who I am. Until you get close to Vida, you can’t know Vida. Outside, I am very stubborn; I don’t give no for an answer. Well, everybody has their opinion about Vida.

Have you committed any fashion blunder?

For people it might be but for me, I don’t think so.

Do you still model here in Nigeria?

I am not going to model again. However I am going to train models because I would launch my model outfit soon in Nigeria.

Your nails are very long

Yes, my left hand nails are long but my right is short. That is because I work more with my right hand.
