Uzor Osimkpa is a Nollywood actress and a presenter.  She is a well known face in the popular television drama ‘About to wed’. She talked about her style which she described as comfree and why she would never act nude even for a million dollar in this interview with us.

How long have you been in the Nollywood industry?

For seven years.

What motivated you into acting?

I was motivated by passion.

What is style to you?

Style is who you are. It is synonymous to a person. I believe style depends on you, the person that you are and how you want to look to an event or wherever you are going. I just feel style is individual.

What is your own kind of style?

My style is comfortable. I like to be comfortable in whatever it is I am wearing, for whatever event. I don’t like to wear clothes that are too tight and it can’t be too short. I like to be free; I like to be comfortable in anything that I wear. So, my style is comfree and it has to be something that suits me.

What is that fashion item you cannot do without as a woman?

Sunglasses on a sunny day, tank tops on a sunny day. You can never catch me in long sleeve on a sunny day outdoor. But I love to be comfortable at all times.

What is that clothing item you would never be caught dead in?

Hmmm...  What can this be? I don’t even know. I have never really thought about it but I am not into sky blue jeans as much. Fashion is evolving so there are a lot of things I may not be able to wear but I know that you can’t catch me dead in anything that is tight-fitting, which is not comfortable.

 Best perfume

That would have to Be Delicious by DKNY, the fragrance is heavenly. I also love Fifth Avenue by Elizabeth Harden because it is timeless and it is vintage, you can use it at any time but Be Delicious is wonderful, it has a delicious fragrance that is welcoming, very nice and it lingers for a long time.

How much can you be paid to act nude?

Nothing, except you are bringing heaven to me. Except you are bringing me Jesus directly. There is no amount that I would be paid to act nude. I have better morals than to know not to go nude on television.

If you have to flaunt, what part of your body can you show off?

A little above my knees down

Well, it still has some decency in it

Who are your fashion role models?

Victoria Beckham, she is cool. I love Rhinna’s fashion too. Her fashion sense is appealing, simple and easy.

What is your greatest fear in life?

Death of my loved ones, I don’t know how I would be able to do it because I see people who lose people and I wonder how they get out of it. Also fear of being broke because I love money.

What kind of clothes do you love to wear?

I love dresses, pants, tank tops, knickers, shorts and I wear a lot of high heels. I don’t wear anything less than six inch shoes. My shoes have to be five inches and above because I feel more comfortable when they are higher.

Is it because of your height?

No, I think my height is okay for a woman

How can you describe yourself?

I am me. What you see is not always what you get because I have moods and I can’t always be in a perfect mood. I am just me. I am playful, I love to be happy and to have people around me. I can be stubborn though.

How do you handle your male fans?

I am nice to them as much as I can be and we just keep it platonic.

What is your best colour?

Red and purple. If I have to travel, you would find something red and purple in my luggage, even if I am going for one night. I feel comfortable in those colours. I just feel that they sort of define me. When I am in red, I feel that I am bright even when my mood is not bright, it just feels bright. Purple is cool.

What is your philosophy of life?

Live and let live. I think we can all co-exist with one another.

 How do you love your make-up?

I love it light on a good day and heavy at night for events.

Beauty routine

I wash my face even if I don’t use anything like lotion or moisturiser. Also, if I don’t take a shower at night, I have to wash my face because if I don’t, I must wake up with rashes on my face.

What are your hobbies?

Dancing, singing and I can be playful at times.

How do you relax?

I dance. It makes me happy. I am in my own secret place when I am dancing. I don’t hang out much because I don’t drink alcohol or smoke but if I have to hang out, there must be music maybe singing, karaoke or dancing, that is how I know that I can have fun.
